You can't compare Madden and Tiger Woods to a motocross game. I think what they are working towards is great. No need to bash on a video game. If you dont like Alive, return it and go play you some golf.

dirt 3 is badass! you unlock a freeride area that is awesome too. game online/offline runs flawless also.

if you want a fun racing game, get that shit!

Moto Depo working on Ps3 here in NZ, just got me the ktm250sxf, man that thing is sweet and so good to finally look at a real bike!

there hasnt been a game to date that ive played that hasnt had to be patched.
DLC is the way to go. look at probably the best selling game out... call of duty. add up the cost to buy all the maps and stuff.
madden has losts of glitches. youtube it. if you go check madden forums, people hate it compared to older versions. sound familiar?
im not sticking up for the game, because im pretty mad about not having the JS7 crib yet. just stating facts.

Does anyone know why DLC is available for PS3 countries except for the one where the game was made?

For everyone saying the game wasn't finished when they released it...

Uh, they said well in advance that's how they were planning it. The game was significantly cheaper than its predecessors and then ater it came out there would be DLC as an option to fully expand the game.

Right on man! Like WTF!?! How long will it take, we have been patient.

Isn't North America Sony's largest market so maybe they would be up and running first? Maybe New Zealand is a bigger market? Good for them but the wait for us continues...

Do you want to race on some AMA National tracks? Hangtown, Freestone, and High Point are available for MXS. DLC is always free.

1 - the new Tiger Woods Masters game is very very structured towards DLC. half of the tournaments in the career mode are not included in the game and require purchase. also, while playing you pick up sponsors. you can either spend hours trying to max the sponsor goals for all the equipment, or you can purchase the fully unlocked sponsorship. since i'm a huge fan of Ping, i purchased the Ping package with all the top end clubs, clothes, etc. don't think that's a good idea? look around the Tiger game forums... i think it's a great model. play if you want, pay if you don't want.

2 - the clerk at the Game Stop by your house has his mind wrapped around Dragons Age or The Elder Scrolls, they aren't going to tell you shit about a mx game which is a niche franchise.

just my opinion.

It's not their fault but relying on the DLC has bit them with this Sony issue. My PS Store is up but it says my code for the JS compound isn't valid. I'm ready to move on and forget about the game because I'm bored- again no fault of theirs but it's a reality.

Everything about this game is a total screw up. There are so many issues with this thing, that they can't be listed. I'm glad we have some of the guys posting on here who helped make this game, so that we can know to avoid them like the plague. It's pretty bad when you have to try and find stuff positive to say about the game so we don't scare off the makers of it who are on here. You should all be fired. You're game is a POS! I know you don't want to hear it, but it needs to be pulled and totally remade. MX vs ATV Unleashed and Supercross Circuit should be the basic foundation.

Don't blame the makers of the game for Sony's issues. I have the XBoX 360 and the game rocks. Online, single, and Double player. Banging bars head to head is the coolest thing there is since actually racing.

Edit: My son is only 7 and can't beat me on the real track but he gives me a run on here. He took to the newer style faster than I did. I used to kick his but at Reflex though. LOL

Credit is due to the Team Keeping us updated. I appreciate the work they have done to bring this to market. I do not know where the disconnect is when building this game, but it seems someone who makes decisions isnt listening to anyone that plays the game.

The "Team" is keeping us updated? The PS3 network is working fine. The PS3 Store is working fine. I am able to download and purchase maps for other games. Why is the Alive DLC not available? Is THQ claiming that Sony is not putting the dlc in the store? Is that the official word?

yea, but you also need a decently good computer to run the game well for online play. download drivers and crap to get your ps3 controller to work (hate xbox controller) then spend a good year mastering the game to make a complete lap without crashing. MXS has its good points. but it also has many bad ones too. if you could combine alive and MXS, whoa!

1. Create a new user on your PS3
2. Create a new sign in ID (new email required) for New Zealand, use a hotel in Auckland as the address
3. Enter your code
4. Download JS compound
5. Return to your normal user and enjoy the JS compound

Just manage to purchase the Stewart compound. £6.29!!!! Man I hope the superstore tracks are going to be cheaper when they are released!

Downloaded the KTM 150 and 250f too, well it would be rude not too eh? Thought the suzuki'swere going to be available too?

Hope they get on it with skins for graphics kits too, my other bikes look like shit....

Why did you buy it? you get a free code with the game.

Also im pretty sure that the Yamaha's are out today along with the Honda's, but Honda's are US only.

Will wait until there store is up and then buy the Honda Smile

I agree. I haven't played the game in a few weeks. If the Stewart compound and other DLC issues aren't fixed soon, this game will be traded. I keep hearing a voice say to me, "Move along. There's nothing to see here".

I feel sorry for you guys not having the JS compound, its not a game changer but its really fun to ride thats for sure!

Guess were playing different games.. I just went online with X Box about 10 months ago. I have plenty of games I play without ever having a patch. Maybe it's just an online thing?

Call of Duty kicks ass without buying anything. Yes, it's there if you want to spend money, but the game is just fine without buying new maps.

As for Madden, the last one I bought was 09', so I don't know about the new ones. And again, never had to have a patch to make me want to play it more. Yes, the Madden games are glitchy, but guessing it's alot more involved than a mx game? Oh, and it doesn't get old playing it after a week, like Alive did for me.
