per Racer X tweet.

"Musquin apparently has a compound fracture of his left thumb after his crash with Barcia."

That sure stinks.

That really sucks!

For all the knobs blaming it on Barcia...suck it. It's racing.

Wonder what happened to his nose when Barcia's back tire slammed horrifically into his face???

If true that really sucks. I was actually more worried about a neck injury. Did you see his head snap back when Crashboy's wheel hit him. It almost looked like it caught him in the throat.

Dammit! I was so happy to see him up front at the beginning of the 1st moto.
Man, foreigners sure take a beating when they come to the states.

Ahhh yes crashboy.... Because he spent A LOT of time on the ground during SX. He's soooo inconsistent, it blows my mind. So I suppose we can call BB crashboy 2? and Moose skin crashboy 3? They've all went down in the first 2 rounds.

Yep, I'll be honest - seeing how Marvin would do in this National series was my number one enjoyment from tuning in. Still plenty of other great racing of course but that's a downer for sure. What a bastard.

Be thankful it's nothing more serious though.

x2 I was eagerly looking forward to this race and the rest of the season. He settled nicely into 2nd place and then wham! Game over. How many riders suffer a compound fracture to the thumb of all things?

Does the term compound imply that the skin was broken? I've always been confused about that.

Bummer for MM.
I watched the video clip of Barcia's crash a few times and it just looks like a racing incident.

Well done Justin Barcia, riding without brains as usual. Barcia has a long way to go before he is even close to a rider of Musquin's calibre in terms of intelligience, smoothness, and versatility. He should have watched and learnt from the World Champ when he passed him instead of riding over his ablity yet again and causing injury to other riders. You would think being teammates with Windham he would learn how to ride properly and in control by now.

Get well soon Marvin!

Barcia jst got a massive kick off a breaking bump or cross rutted didn't he? Looked like Musquin troed to go around him when he saw him start to get squirly and Barcia's bike just flipped over and caught him.

I'm not sure Barcia was quilty of anything other than perhaps being a little over eager, but then if your leading the pack into the 2nd or third corner you're probably not trying to ride conservatively are you.

Maybe he should have been smart enough to not move over and follow then, he almost could have had the lead with Barcia and Bagget both down.

That is my point... he is always over eager... and he never learns. He needs to ride with his brain.

Vegas... crashed twice, Hangtown.. did a handstand in the middle of the race, Freestone trying to hard again and crashes..

Sometimes you have to slow down to go faster.

I guess you're not going to make any comments on him, for the most part 'cleaning house', in the East Lites SX championship are you?

Could not disagree more. You must've watched different race than all the others did.

Barcia may have taken Musquin with him, but we all should be happy he didn't injure himself bad! When I saw it, I immediately thought of the crash Donn Maeda had, when he went head-first into a haybale (?) and broke his helmet. It was scary. Barcia could've easily hurt his neck very bad!

Did MM crash all on his own at Hangtown... by being over eager?

Exactly he is going to injure himself or someone else again if he doesn't calm down. To be the champ you not only have to be fast... but you have to be smart.

No. Barcia hit a wet spot and washed out.
