First Tomac had to overcome being slowed by Hansen amidst a bunch of Pro Circuit bikes, then he had this whole hoard of Tickle pals to contend with. I agree about the idea of team tactics and not liking it, but this was basically a Team Tickle deal. One company that doesn't play nice when it comes to titles is Honda. I doubt there are many Honda executives that think Seely did the right thing by them. Remember when they parked Bayle's bike because he told them he would do nothing to help Stanton? Tickle deserved the title but Seely did himself no favors when it comes to Honda. That picture of them hugging it up to me is as good as "Let Brock Bye"

What I haven't heard said yet is in the end ALL the guys involved are REALLY good friends on and off the track, regardless of bike color. I don't think the friendship played any part in the racing incidents, but after the finish in the end, it was just FRIENDS congratulating FRIENDS. These guy spend ALOT of time together every week at practice tracks parked together and BSing all day. Just my observation

Tomac payed the price for his teammates crashing out. If he had Hahn there to ride shot gun who knows what would have happened. Seely was on a Honda, but it wasnt a Geico bike. He had every right to do whatever it took to get the best result for himself, same goes for Cunningham.

Good rides for all of those guys, Tomac had it right in front of him, he failed to take it, Tickle did. Awesome race to end an awesome series for those fellas.

Seely did nothing wrong. He gets paid to race for position. Tomac just wasn't good enough on the night. Simple as that.

You mean racing him? If you can't pass the guy in front of you, tough shit. Seely rode his same lines the entire race, not his fault Tomac couldn't find his way around. He did his job, he raced.

Eli is probably my favorite rider on two wheels these days, I was definitely swearing at the TV. However, no one hit him, and those guys are entitled to race as hard as they can whether they are first in points or last. If Eli had checked out it wouldnt have been an issue. I'm bummed for him, but the good news is I'm pretty sure he has multiple championships to look forward to.

FYI, John Tomac is also training Aaron Gwin, a former moto kid now racing downhill mountain bikes. He just won the first world cup downhill race for an American since 1999, and put an absolute hurting on the majority of the field. The only guy close on a flat, pedaly track was Greg Minnaar, generally regarded as the strongest pedaler in the world for DH. To top it off, Aaron only has 4 years of downhill racing behind him, probably one of the youngest careers of the entire field. Check it out at Vital MTB, good stuff.

I love how everyone on here thinks they know what's going to happen with Seely and his future with Honda because of this. Racing is an individual sport, I watched the whole race and if anything, Cole and Kyle Cunningham were both fighting for position and didn't do any intentional blocking except good ole racing. What were they going to do? Roll around behind Tomac and Tickle because they had a championship to win? They were racing for the W, how would they feel if they let Tickle and Tomac battle and they let them pull ahead and Roczen crashed on lap 14 while in the lead and one of them won. If they would have been racing for position they would have won. Besides, Cunningham probably didn't know Roczen had a +10 second lead and Seely knows how Vegas is and one bobble can cost you a win. (Actually, that's what happened to him) Without a little crash I don't think there would be this topic because Cole would have won his 3rd race of the season. I was sitting right with Craig and Tomac's buddies and they didn't seem to notice anything bad about Cole.

I did think it was kinda shitty that after Barcia won...he stopped up on top of that jump...and it seemed like he was looking for someone to come congratulate him....and nobody did...or at least not like they did for Tickle....

I definitely think there was some 'extracurricular activities' going on in that race, but racing is racing. Unfortunately, for Tomac, he got the short end of the stick. Tomac will definitely have his glory in the future though. What he did his first year of supercross was very impressive. He is going to have a very successful career. After that race, I was thinking "How many years did it take Tickle to finally get a championship"?
I surprised nothing was said about Hansen running off the track and re-entering in the next section right back in the middle of the group?

Then Tickle would have caught him...he didnt have enough of a gap to stay behind a slower Seely and Cunningham. Tomac was faster, weatherd the pro circuit storm and was pulling away from tickle when the seely road block happened. That sucked for Tomac!

from where i was sitting in the stands, it looked like 4 dudes battling. tomac had his chances to get away and made some mistakes. tough shit.

Red is Red. I'd bet honda isn't pumped about it. Brand orders do happen regardless of team.

Back in the day jesseman got a bonus for helping TP at some point.

Incredible race, no one tried to take anyone out, just hard racing.

Seely and Cunningham were in it to win it, not pull over and spectate.

I dunno-racing is racing and everyone is absolutely entitled to race for their position, but it did seem like there was a whole pack of guys who seemed to prefer that Tickle won...Tickle deserves it just as much as Tomac and I don't have a horse in this race, but it looked as though Seely didn't know what brand he was riding...I would imagine Honda is pissed and it is a small community. Perhaps Honda won't hold it against him, but he certainly could have put himself in a much BETTER position down the road by making it just a smidge easier for Tomac. Honda does like to win and this would have shut out Kawasaki. Tough call...At least with KTM turning into a powerhouse, Seely still has 4 other brands he can ride for!
