I don’t remember seeing a thread for this new season.

Just watching a little bit of the NFL Draft, and wondering what will be the result of Shedeur Sanders’ monstrous slide. 3-4 months ago there were plenty of sports commentators who were convinced that he’d be a top 5 pick, now he may not be picked in the first 2 rounds?  Crazy ride!

I’m hopeful for Dart even though he’s going to a team where a lot of good quarterbacks go to die. He was a fucking stud at Ole Miss.

Sanders? I don’t know what to say about that. Some believed the hype I guess. Most NFL teams did not.

Back in 2021, Dart’s first college game action was after USC’s starting QB got injured very early in the game. He proceeded to come in and laid wood against my WSU Cougars. I thought that he and Drake London were going to set the world on fire for the next couple of years, but the USC roster carousel kept moving.

Wow, I didn’t know that. My oldest is an Ole Miss grad as of 2023. I truly hope the Giants develop an O line to protect him because that kid is something pretty special.

I’m liking the Falcons pics so far!

Looks like the Steelers got someone from your previous neck of the woods. Detroit got Tate Ratledge. He’s a beast

Here’s the stats from Dart’s first game. He didn’t start the game but I think that Slovis was injured after the first 2 USC possessions. WSU scored the first 2 TDs, then Dart looked like an all time great for the rest of the day. I still can’t believe that USC let Dart get away from them.

I bet USC is regretting that now. I hope he does well. WTF is New Orleans thinking?

Patriots are rebuilding the evil empire led by one one the toughest storm troopers we ever had. Vrabel said “we’re taking the entitlement out of this building”. Got rid of almost all the players from the belichick era. Absolutely killed it in free angency adding Milton Williams, Carleton Davis, Robert Spillaine, and Stephon Diggs. Now in the draft so far they got the #1 OT and C to fix the offensive line. A good WR and a RB that broke my heart in the national championship game where he shit all over my favorite team, he was unstoppable that night. Watch tf out Buffalo the team that you couldn’t beat for two decades is coming out of the fog, and our QB is gonna be better than yours so I’m guessing you’re fuckedddd!

Not a big Kellen Moore fan for sure, but that QB they took was falling away in the pocket at the combine, with nobody rushing him.

The Sanders situation is interesting, you take the ride, you get the circus with him.

I do agree that his dad has a lot to do with how things are turning out. You don’t publicly say if you’re his father “these are the teams I would prefer him to be on.”

I definitely think that he’d have been taken by now if teams didn’t think that they’d have to put up with the Kardashian-esque circus that is bound to occur. And those teams that would have otherwise picked him have completely valid concerns. Managing any sports team roster is already a delicate balancing act even without the extra drama that would be intentionally injected.

Sanders is probably a better player and prospect than at least half of the quarterbacks taken in the top 3 rounds over the last 5-6 years, but the potential (but highly likely) negatives outweigh the upside.

Hopefully this whole thing ends up with him getting a decent chance with much lower expectations than what was originally expected before the draft. He could end up being a very good pro quarterback, but he probably won’t even get a good shot unless Deion stops trying to control everything. And so far, he hasn’t shown that he has any ability to do that.

I agree, I think he can play in the league, maybe at a high level. Time will tell. Hell Brady went in the 6th round. Who knows?

So, the NFL is racist now for not choosing Sanders?

😂😂😂😂😂

What a crock of race baiting horseshit. That prank wasn’t cool, though IMO. I said it before and I’ll say it again I do feel like it’s unfair that he’s being avoided for a lot of the crap that his dad said and did. They (the NFL) realize that with Sheduer you’re going to get his Dad along for the ride as well.

Cleveland 144th ... perfect landing place for mister Sanders.

Necklace says all I'd need to know why i wouldn't draft the player.

I heard what one assistant offensive coordinator from one of the teams that interviewed Sanders. Don't know what team it was.

He basically torched Sanders. Said he acted entitled, had shitty body language, was late on plays, etc.

His dad my be screwing things up for him, but it sounds like he's not doing himself any favors.

Sanders has never had to learn a new system or play for anyone other than his father. He should’ve went into those interviews with the sole purpose of proving he’s intelligent and coachable.  Opposite happened, and now he’s a brown on day 3..  Good luck dipshit

The term gets thrown around loosely nowadays.

It is comical to hear people use the term anymore.

I think that he’s had 4 different offensive coordinators during his college career. He’s had plenty of changes in offenses.  Deion isn’t a coordinator, he’s a fund raiser and figurehead. Unfortunately he’s also been football’s version of Lavar Ball.

It’ll be interesting to see if Cleveland keeps him or how it works out there. Two somewhat highly ranked QB draft picks like they made is somewhat of an oddity so hard to say how it will play out.

Hard Knocks returning to Cleveland this year?  Technically the Browns aren’t eligible, but I’d be surprised if they don’t find a way to make it happen. Especially if Deshaun Watson is on track to return from his achilles injury.

I’m pretty excited Tyler Warren went to the colts. Hopefully they use him appropriately and he has a great NFL career.

As far as sanders goes, I haven’t followed his career much. Maybe his free fall will humble him a little and he will have a good career.

Being a Browns fan, I was curious to learn more about Sanders.  I hadn't followed his career at all.  I heard some wildly different opinions about him, both on and off the field.  At this point,  he just needs to perform.   It will be interesting to watch it all unfold.

Cleveland now has 5 QBs and needs 3. No clear leader in the clubhouse so Sanders will have every chance to prove his value.  At the very least he must outperform Dillon Gabriel or he’ll find himself looking for a new home ‘cause the Browns won’t want two rookies riding the bench.

Cleveland has like 6 QB's right now which is more comical than Sanders dropping to the 3rd day.

not really swayed one way or the other with Detroit's picks, but this years draft class didn't seem to have the home-run picks like it has in the past.

i went to Wendover last week and put $100 on the Lions to win the Super Bowl, just like i do every year...

Sanders is just a kid that will probably do fine after he learns a little work ethic. Everyone likes Deion. All the other stuff is the social justice warriors talkin sh-t to glamour themselves. 😏

Heard a short blurb on the radio this morning about Kirk Cousins losing his starting job in Atlanta this year and it made me wonder just how much that guy has made in the NFL considering that he’s only played 4 playoff games in his career and is 1-3 in those games.

With his guaranteed salary this coming season he’ll be right about $322 million…..  Holy shit!

For comparison sake, Tom Brady, who’s career overlapped Cousins’ quite a bit, made a total of $333 million in football salary.

That ‘extra’ $11M resulted in 48 playoff games, a 35-13 playoff record, and 7 Super Bowl championships.  It’s crazy to think that paying an athlete $333M over the course of a career could be a bargain, but it just may have actually been a huge bargain in Brady’s case!!!

Yep, Cousins is an extremely likable guy and showed moments of absolute brilliance in a few games but was definitely not worth the investment-especially given his age and injuries! Yet another ill fated decision by the Falcons recruiting squad.

He is a good guy though.

After OTA's last week it looks like Holmes knew what he was doing again. TeSlaa looks legit from everything I heard and Ratledge might be a day 1 starter. The Super Bowl goes through the D.
