What's WSX?
WSX was effectively dead in the water the minute MX Sports and Feld agreed to combine those series into a single championship with significant financial opportunities. I know weege, and others, stated that this was a plan long in the works and that the timing was coincidental. However, the timing with the WSX announcement sure makes it appear they knew that had to make a decision to move forward or WSX was going to take riders away from the US series. Long term, that decision to combine might even put a dent in MXGP.
Before Feld cut ties with FIM there had already been talks between Feld, MXSports and NBC. In order to make SMX happen they needed (1) Feld to discontinue its FIM sanction and (2) to wait a year to align their respective media rights. Once FIM was cut loose it hastily put its "world supercross championship" out for bid, SX Global took the bait, and WSX was born. The timeline is pretty clear, and at this point anyone that still thinks SMX was a response to WSX just refuses to pay attention.
Stick a fork in it.

certainly has been a masterclass in how NOT to start a series.
Good! it was stupid.
Needs to be mx and sx..thats it....like it was..
Deegan wants it. I mean, its the only way to get a championship and keep it.
They got new investors, new money..
All Womens Supercross needs is a Caitlyn Clark type and it will take off.
Yeah, barely anyone remembers who Bruce was now.
You're confused
You're confused
Down vote me all you want but the US has the best SX/MX of anywhere.Even MXGP. I just want all the fastest guys in the same race.
Since they hired both Edwards and Nicoll, who can be given some credit, you'd imagine the new owners didn't give up.
So I guess these guys are going forward silently like the armies of Mordor, lol...
One thing's for sure, they're being veeeeery discreet. Even their teams have no clue what's going on.
It appears that Antsie is saying goodbye to FirePower Honda today….looks like he’s out on WSX…will we possibly see him lineup at Southwick on a Star bike…
The new miracle of the breads........because of wsx, the usa racers got a few more millions thrown at them with the apperance of smx....3 more races for the already saturated us racers, and a huge prize money from the promover that, contrarie to the european moto máfia and thiefs of promotors, already was giving every profit back to the us racers.....so it can only be a miracle....the miracle of the breads..!!!!!
Pit Row
"because of wsx, the usa racers got a few more millions thrown at them with the apperance of smx...."
Keep telling yourself that, as they say...ignorance is bliss.
So fucking clueless….
have heard that most the teams took the buyout clause, incl both aussie based teams, (firepower and CDR)
also have heard, that the aussie open will not be a round,
....but everyone wants to race it.
(if you read non-moto, you'll know this image is related to a timely discussion.... lol)
Correction.
"All She/Her Supercross needs is a Catilyn Clark type and it will take off".
From what I heard a while ago, Konsky was pretty dejected with the way things turned out, and he used to be a big supporter with high hopes.
Really builds up a serious, positive, exciting image...
Having one of your "world champions" leave to race a real series with real opportunities because he's tired of waiting for some kind of race schedule is really great marketing.
A 3 RACE “CHAMPIONSHIP!!!”

can't be dead.....the main contender #94 signed a multi year contract 🤔
So what teams and riders are left or going racing
What a fucking joke...
