Only $10 for all 2024 SX, MX, and SMX series (regularly $30).
Glad he’s out there.
Yeah, I thought he looked pretty good, especially given he didn't race last year and didn't come in with much prep. Really would like to see him get back to his 250 form outdoors
The fact that he suffered such a concussion & getting beat up from that incident with AC, and is actually out there performing at even this level is freaking amazing. The guy is a competitor for real! I hope he can race his way into shape & finish top-three. I don’t see him beating Jett or Chase though, unless one of them falls unexpectedly.
I thought for him getting on the bike just weeks prior to Pala he looked pretty solid. He's a workhorse and will only get stronger as the season goes on. I'm not ready to jump on the Jett/Chase bus just yet. Pala is like an overgrown SX track and things will get a lot more interesting when the tougher/better tracks come into play.
The Shop
He SHOULD get podiums in this 450 feild.
he has nothing on Jett and Sexton but a half shaped Ferrandis and AC he should be on pair with…
Yeah, somebody said once that the Outdoors require a rider to be willing & able to “suffer”. The tracks will get more brutal, and chewed up as the series goes on…and the heat will become a factor as we get into the Summer months as well. Webb is one of those “animals” who has been through that.
AC's days as title threat/ race winner in Outdoors and Supercross are done imo. AP7 though is still getting slept on, just wait until we get back East.
Without injuries to the last few remaining guys I don’t realistically see him getting higher then 4th without some help. The top two are in a different world and Dylan should be getting better weekly at a rate that Webb can’t compete with. But if he stays healthy he will go into this Supermotocross playoff thing with a second place seeding. Which I’m sure is why he is back.
His lack of prep due to head injury obviously held him back, as he fell off pretty hard near the end there - but his pace in the first half of the races honestly wasn't too bad. Pretty impressive ride for him, all things considered.
Very solid performance. Love seeing him out there and we need him out there mixing it up as fans. Thanks Coop for gutting it out and making Round 1 of the MX series.
Webb had no plans to ride outdoors according to him. In my opinion, he only showed up because he has a chance at top 5 with everyone out.
Is Webb in a contract year? Kept hearing about him potentially moving over to the Yamaha camp if Eli chooses to not to return.
Webb is an assassin. If he decides he is all in, look out. Never count him out. He is very mental. He surely has the skill. Time will tell.
Final year of his contract.
I was glad to see him show up, and I would say he was impressive considering everything. I don't see him straight up beating Jett or Chase, but when you look at the way he instantly became the third best guy in the 21' outdoor series once there was a slight mod to the frame that made his bike much closer to what he wanted, I think he could surprise us. In 21' after the frame mod, he was a solid 3rd place guy and from that point on, he gave Ferrandis and Tomac more and more fits with every round. If his bike is right, he might make it interesting.
I agree. But hopefully being out there rekindles his love of mx. Stewart and Reed took a break from mx and both came back to love it again
SMX Champ!
Nice second moto. Improving.
Pit Row
I don't really get how people don't like Webb, but each to their own 👍
Glad he's out there and good to see him making the most of the season so far, the guy is a grafter, he works hard and does what he can.
People don't like Webb because he's "no bullshit" genuine. He's also confident, something the weak-minded see as arrogance.
On the flip side, people adore Roczen and others because they know how to say what people want to hear.
If Chase sits out another race, Webb has a great chance at going into the SMX rounds as the number one ranked rider.
Webb is excellent but Lawrence not only is younger, has adapted to the 450 so well from day 1, but he seems to be just in complete gel mode with that CR. Honda has built a phenomenal bike and it’s dialed for Jett extremely well. They made adjustments after Moto 1 at Hangtown but the overall chemistry between Jett and that CR are undeniable. imo, this is what’s separating him from Webb, who though also on a great bike, doesn’t look to be gelling with it quite the same. I know Lawrence has a gifted approach, but it’s also how fluid things are with that Honda that’s making this an almost (so far) insurmountable challenge for the rest. Honda engineers and mechanics deserve a lot of credit on this.
I'm a Webb fan.... but him going in as #1 would be a "gift". Just like Chase's SX title.
With that said....here comes the "in it to win it" mantra...
Considering the points for the three SMX rounds go single, double, triple points, I don’t think it will matter all that much.
