I was going through and doing a little cleanup on my YT subscriptions a couple of weeks ago and almost removed Team Fried since its been over 2 1/2 years since they last released a video, but I decided to hang on a little longer since I really like them. Good thing.

Team Fried was great because of the person filming/producing the videos that helped build the brand. Can't stick the same sticker on a different product. It's just not the same.

I agree, Tom and his editing was Team Fried. I actually think his way of shooting & editing fits Fried better than the Lawrence Brothers.
Either way Tom is awesome.
Those outdoor edits were as good as it gets. Tom surely knows how to set the scene.
Wish he could do more bts with the brothers and other riders, bring the fun factor back in watching these guys race, prepare, talk shit.

You can't replicate that vibe
Everyone saying Tom was all of Team Fried is wrong. Part of the magic was also Jason's charisma and unique approach to life being documented. The two complimented each other well. But now that Tom is shooting for the Lawrence bros, those videos feel more sanitized, not because of Tom, but the end subject matter is more boring to some.
I like Tom just as much as the next guy, but the video Jason had made was a really good video. It's not my job to get in the middle of business dealings I know nothing about between the two of them, but doing business with friends generally ends this way, I've been there and wouldn't do it again and always advise people against it.
Just objectively looking at the edit, I enjoyed it and it was nice to get glimpses into what Jason is doing on race days again. Plus as a girl Dad, I love him showing his daughter around the races. I am never going to be the one to complain about more moto content from top riders.

I feel like there isn't as much of a friendship with the Lawrence's, still really enjoy his vids but it seems much more like more of a paid role..
It felt like Team Fried were a bunch of good mates living their best life and we were along for the ride (It seems it maybe wasn't really like that.. Or maybe just didn't stay like that)

For one Jason is at the end of his career the Lawrence’s are in the thick of it so he’s got a longer runway with them.
The Lawrence’s have a bigger platform, bigger platform, more views, more money. Doing all this for them will spring board him to his next gig and will likely open up new opportunities perhaps even out of moto where there is real money. How is this so hard to understand?

I don’t know that this is fair comment. The times, they were a Changin’ and Tom had to move on down the road.
Jason’s life was evolving and he got married. As a casual observer…all the dudes hanging out and virtually living together…well, whose days were coming to an end and Team Fried seemed to evaporate with it.
Sad; but, true.
Tom amd Jason had a very cool bro-down relationship and it’s sad to see that get lost in all of this. But, shit happens. Tom certainly did bring a look and feel of his own to the final product. Things have changed since The Good Ol Days of everyone hanging out…living together…in a house in Laguna…and the OG Team Fried era is gone. Life moves on. It’s all good. Hell, the whole “Dudes hanging out” was a HUGE part of the old Team Fried vibe. That was then. This is now.
Jason’s “new” Team Fried has its own feel and it’s very much who and how he is…now. I like that. Another thing I like…he takes his family EVERYWHERE with him. That’s something that’s nice to see…it’s something that seems just natural to him and his young family. To me, this is sorta a way to return to his roots when his family…mom, dad or grandma-granpa, etc…would take him racing back in the day.
As one of the old dudes that’s been around this stuff over the years, I like the new vid’s and the mix of music and scenery. That’s all still very Team Fried, to me.
It’s quite easy, for me, to be proud of Jason -and- Tom. They’re both good at what they do and they’re both really good dudes. I’m stoked that Tom got a new gig and I’m stoked that Jason rekindled Team Fried.
