Maybe one of the other members that feel sorry for you will send you the money. But you might be better off starting a GoFundMe page to attract more attention.

was there a posted unlimited lifetime warranty covering parts and labor and shipping? If not, their offer to rebuild/replace the part after a good period of use seems fair. If they had a disclaimer stating no warranty expressed or implied you wouldn't even be getting the new pump free 🤷‍♂️

Talk about missing the forest through the trees.

The product is designed to be submersed in a  fuel tank with constant contact with fuel, yet are fabricated with fuel line not meant to be submersed in fuel.   And contain undersized pump motors that wear out.  The v2 hose that customers are receiving is still not rated for submersion in fuel.   If you look into the details, customers are on the fourth "fixed" version and still have the same issues. All the while Nihilo is gladly still selling the same garbage product in spite of these issues.

The attitude that somehow Nihilo is doing right by shipping back a continually faulty product instead of issuing a refund is baffling.   Imagine if Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM speced a fuel pump not designed for contact with fuel, and when called out, said best we can do is send you a replacement also not designed for contact with fuel, and you need to ship your bike back to the factory.

What’s the likelihood Nihlio has a degreed engineered on staff? Quality control department? Purchase aftermarket parts from anyone and you may be rolling the dice with what you are getting

do you have a copy of their engineering specs and BOM in front of you to verify everything you believe they did wrong from concept to finished product? Let's see receipts and your engineering background. Otherwise STFU already.

Try reading the thread, informing yourself on what's occuring, and understanding the situation instead of personal attacks.

I was following the topic and quickly realized it was a circle jerk by a couple whiners with unrealistic expectations peppered with accusations about how the product "should be made" even though they have no conclusive evidence it was a deliberate design problem. Nothing the company could say or do would satisfy. Buy the Tacomoto 3000hr pump and move along.

I hear you. OP wasn't helping his case with some of his responses.

Still, the first page on this thread documents the pump hose not meeting spec for fuel submersion which was one of your questions about meeting engineering standards.

More details are available here if you chose to understand the situation better.

At this point there is clear documentation that the product is faulty, and that information is shared back to Nihilo, and worse  the company continue to sell a known bad product to us dirt bikers.

Reading comprehension goes a long way sometimes. I posted a couple of facts early in the thread. The spec sheet shows they sourced the wrong hose. I also posted an email from the manufacturer of said hose that states it was not rated for submersion. I also have an email where Nihilo states the hose is what their vendor recommended.  Probably a moot point though since you have already fabricated your own narrative.

I can accept the lack of due diligence on Nihilo’s end. Manufactures short cut processes all the time. The issue is they keep telling the same lie to customers. Ethanol caused it and it’s only a few percentage of units. I don’t have any proof of the actual number of fails. If one does some basic online research into the subject, common sense tells you it’s a much higher failure rate.

Nihilo makes great products. They missed the mark on this one and it was due to their own shortcomings. Their response is a lie. Just letting people know.  No need to tough talk from behind a screen because of your blind loyalty to a company.

They have seemingly updated the design and made disclaimers on the page post purchase. I was also victim to this product, and had a few people reach out claiming similar issues. I had maybe 10 hours on this product. It completely clogged the filters at an Enduro a few hours away from home. I don't run ethanol fuel in my bikes. I have access to 93 non ethanol and Sunoco pump 93/95/98 non ethanol versions. I also no longer use VP after it claimed some fuel pumps with their bad batches. Thankfully, it didn't destroy the injector but I did completely disassemble the fuel pump, clean it; replace filters and some lines. I have a fuel injector cleaner tool and ran it through that. I ended up replacing my gas tank because I couldn't get 100% of the particles fully removed and didn't want to risk more issues.

This is not the first time I've had issues with their products, they also had a junk oil primary gear that I thankfully caught before catastrophic failure on my older 17 350. I won't be considering any product from them in the future.

They added this disclaimer to the product page:

*Do not use this pump with fuels containing more than 10% ethanol, not compatible with some fuel additives or harsh chemicals.

So if you say you run race gas, they’ll say it’s the additives in the race gas corroding it. Or if you say you run pump gas they’ll say even though it says 10% ethanol it probably has a higher ethanol content than what is listed. They’re basically trying to cover their ass by blaming it on something else.
