with all the kickstarter talk happening on this forum lately and not one person mentioning how brilliant of an idea it would be if our childrens 50-65-85 classes need an electric start option.
i mean we have grown men bitching about kickstarters but yet we have our 2.5 year old kids kickstarting their pw50s.
If this doesnt describe the times more well, then i dont know what does.
My point being is as a dad that has kids on 50-65's alot more of my kids races were lost by not being able to get the bike started after getting it up due to being short or growing into the bike, a button sure would be nice to push on these models for the kids and would be a ultimate selling point for the manufactures. I sure would buy one over buying a kickstart bike for a toddler, child.

My son’s mini doesn’t have this issue at all, he’s on the sx-e5.
I admit the kickstarting of his prior 50 was annoying when he tipped it over. Even for me.

Or it's because out in the real world none of the 2.5 year olds on PWs are kickstarting them themselves, that's why every 50 race in America has the parents running as many laps as the kids are racing....
Well, maybe your kids were since they are slated to be the next JS7 and RC, but the rest of us started the PW for our kids when they were 2.5....or more realistically until they were about 6.
But for real, the starter button is a big reason my kids had TTR 50s instead of cRF 50s.
When did we go from take off all the crap u don't need for racing, to now???
Kickstart all day long for me... my paycheck doesn't depend on how fast I restart after a crash... give me a kickstart.. screw taking care of a battery and lil brushed motor on a full blown race bike...
yo dog hit me when your kids can do this..... and hit me when you find a pic of RC or Bubba doing this on pw...
I never said My kids were slated to be next rc or stew, but ill tell ya what, my oldest son was literally 2.5 when he started his pw50, and he was 2 when he started riding his pw50......
If a grown ass man Gets outdone by a kid thats 2.5 yrs old and the kid has a smile from ear to ear and the grown ass man has a frown and wants a button to push and is willing to bitch about it so much to the point of his extinction hes in the wrong hobby anyway cause within this hobby there will be demands that are far more demanding than kicking a bike over....... The picture i posted above is a man starting his automobile by cranking it with his hand, if that so called man came face to face with you all bitching about a lever that starts a motorcycle, hes gonna personally whip your ass guarenteed.

In full disclosure, my kids didn't have anywhere near those skills on a PW. But you know what they do have? A good ass home life with happily married parents. My son also enjoys the fuck out of riding his 3 dirt bikes, he ain't gonna race Pro but he damn sure is gonna be a lifelong moto head if we stay on the path we're on. Different strokes for different folks I guess....safe to say you know more about stroking it than I do.
In that case you can actually download the image off facebook as well instead of screenshotting.
Keep the kids bikes simple.

yea i know the thread, i remember it, i temember that i literally posted a question about how if mx has ever been the reason for divorce. It was a question, however i did go on to state that my relationship was experiencing headaches due to us being so involved in MX 100 percent of the time, did i say it caused a divorce in my life, NO.
Did i say If my children didnt have a good home life, NO.
It took my son day, after day, after day to learn those skills at that age...
It takes a 100 percent of the time style of focus all the time to get skills like that.. If your not prepared to experience other headaches due to that Demand in this hobby/sport/job.for.some. then by all means dont move forward with the focus and time it requires. This same child in the picture above is 11now and on 85s and shreds. I asked him if its something he wants to continue to do knowing the demands of the sport and his words were "dad even if i have to strip my bike down into peices to fit it into a jelopsy to get to the races and build the bike back up when i get there, thats what i will do"
so i apologize for supporting and beleiving in my son, and his interests, yes i do know that all of it can change within the blink of an eye.... but Thats why its important to have a mom and a dad to help keep ya on the right track, The mom has to care about the child staying on track as well...
But back to the point. Kick starting a bike doesnt seem to be an issue for youth, and far more funny thing is you would think from a manufacturing standpoint that the children would be the first priority by the manufactures to install electric start on...

Im 99% sure your kids wont make it. Let your kids be kids, dont be moto dad to the extreme. Otherwise your kids will likely hate it by the time they are 14 or 15.
