The Triumph Racing Enduro Team has announced the signing of elite enduro racer Jonny Walker. The Red Bull athlete is set to take on the full upcoming 2025 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship, as well as select hard enduro and EnduroGP events, and a wildcard ride in this year’s AMA EnduroCross series. After three consecutive runner-up finishes in SuperEnduro, the Brit is targeting the top step of the podium in 2025 under the guidance of newly appointed Team Manager, motorsport legend Paul Edmondson.
On a 250f or do they have something else close to development for him?
250F for now.
Makes sense. If they produce a 300/350 in the future and have the money they should go after Billy Bolt to.
If they are going to enduro, then a 5 speed 450 is on the cards, which will make a base for a good Supermoto.

Assumed this would happen. Hopefully Toby Martyn will be his teammate.
Wait, is Toby making the switch from trials to enduro?
Tough to ride a 250F in hard enduro and not burn it down.
Does he keep the redbull sponsorship?
He posted some videos in recent months of himself on a big bike, talking about how much he enjoyed it, and just announced the end of his TrialGP career. There is speculation that he is making the switch. Would love to see him stay on a trials bike, but I’m sure that switching would be an easy choice to make from a financial standpoint.
Smells to me like they have a 350 coming out soon. Which would be a very smart move. That chassis with a good 350 motor would be a great bike.
Yeah, I'd reckon it's real hard making a decent living in trials if you are not a tier-1 guy, and those guys are just insane. Bou, Raga, Busto etc are obviously doing fine financially.
Maybe, but tedesco has talked about riding the 450, while not giving specifics.
At best I don't see a 350 until the 450 is out, especially with it being pushed back.
Was wondering about that, too. Seems odd if the MXGP team is sponsored by Monster.
If Triumph was planning ahead they would have designed the 250 to also accept a 350 crank and top end. Release it as an offroad model and serve that market while the 450 continues development.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Jonny ended up running something closer to a 300 or 350 in SuperEnduro while keeping the 250 stickers.
Totally agree. There's a reason why everyone from Mani down rides a 300 2 stoke. But championship wise he'll carry on prioritising Endurocross/SuperEnduro.
I'm pleased Jonny has done the deal as on talent alone nobody in enduro deserves a factory ride more than him.
I really hope someone other then the KTM/GASGAS/ Husky guys comes out with a well designed 350. Please... pretty please.
Reminds me of when Blake Gutzeit was racing a YZ250 in all the hard enduros with no electric start. It just wasn't the right bike for the job but it was a ride. 🤷♂️
Uhh, the motocross bike would be a five speed too...
Pit Row
There was a brief period back in I assume 2017 when all the KTM group guys were riding 250 4 strokes when the TPI bikes very first came in. They mostly went okay, I remember Jarvis uploaded a full video of a race on one.
Obviously they all transitioned back to their 300s within about a month when the TPI issues were sorted so clearly the 4 strokes weren't ideal but I always found it interesting they went 250 not 350.
………” all the fat old men”
I resemble that remark……. lol Damn you, Graham Jarvis.!!!!! He made me Get both bikes!!
This is great news for triumph and for Johnny Walker very excited to see him ride that bike in Enduro Cross.
Ive rode my 350 on some gnarly shit and also a 300 setup for hard enduro on hard stuff and its not even close how much easier it is on a 300.
You just cant lug and manipulate the clutch on a 4 stroke like you can on a 300, you can lug that back wheel at super low speeds, when its slippery its even more of a difference.
Bolt said he would prefer a 2 stroke for 95% of hard enduro races, even though he prefers 4 stokes generally.
Bolt is a straight up badass
To me I just hope they provide a mechanic
Jonny Walker first race on the Triumph is just around the corner, and the event is set up by Paul Edmondson.
Billy Bolt could be there (not 100% confirmed), Taddy B and Karlsson will be, along with top riders from all kinds of enduro, could be fun.
Offroad 4 stroke motors tractor pretty well. They are night and day different than the SX/XC bikes. Since KTM produces both styles, their race teams can mix and match offroad and mx parts as needed.
On the other hand, Triumph is stuck using strictly MX parts (unless they have some enduro bits in the works already).
I can't believe this Indoor Enduro of Champions race is on the same weekend as the MXoN. Seems like ridiculous scheduling.
Feel like that’s kind of the idea while everyone is in the country…
It's about a 6hr journey to get from Winchester to Newcastle. So you're not likely to be going to both.
It was initially scheduled for August 10th then quietly postponed without any explanation.
