I just come across these pegs :
I can see they will appeal to the ADV crew - they seem to always want to spend $$.
And, they could address issues for some.
And, they are quite the bit of Engineering and Build.
But, the hang down is horrendous. I run KTM 450RR pegs on my old CRE, due to my non bending knees with sh**loads of wear valgus, and the lowness of them, the fore and aft width, and the length of them enable me to keep riding.
But, Bloody Hell, with all those dimensional changes from std, with the KTM 450RR pegs, and even my Gull Winged down and widened std pegs, I'm always hitting things. One day, I'm sure I'll rip off the peg mounts from the frame. I'll take that risk to keep on riding , it's nothing I can't repair.
But the under hang of the(semi) parallelogram linkage down from the pegs on these (the actual foot peg top height and fore and aft position of the Flex Pegs matches std fitments) is going to hit So Many Things. Now, for an ADVer on a Land Yacht, well, it might not be a issue, but, if you have a squizz at the site (and the videos on it) they've got them for Dirt Bikes. I'm sure on many Dirt Bikes, the double linkage might just hang below the frame rails. Sure, the pegs fold up, but we've all had impacts that mean even std pegs can't / won't fold up.
Anyway, early buyers can get them for $449.000 USD, instead of the std price of $499.00. As a bloke that makes and designs things, I can see the pricing as reasonable, so I'm not being entirely negative about these - and, they may well be of use for some.
Forgot the picture
I can see it now….”I’m experiencing too much rigidity so I’m probably gonna get my footpegs revalved.”
Well, Re-sprung and Re-MCU'd......
"Jeez, these WP air pegs suck...
I'll never go fast until I get KYB or Conepegs."
I appreciate the engineering, I'm not here to shit on anyone's product, they look pretty well made and I'm sure they work for someone, but it ain't me.
The Shop
People will do anything not to ride on the balls of their feet haha.
If you are looking for some damping style pegs id check the XC gear ones out, I have no experience with them but I know XC gear makes good products and supports a lot of guys.
SPURZ Dirt Bike Foot Pegs - XCGEAR
I’ve ran the Spurz pegs from XC gear. Great product, but they do hang down lower than stock and are heavy, compared to stockers.
Does PC offer "A" kit pegs yet?
I like Pivot Pegz
https://pivotpegz.com
They look like they would accumulate a lot of trail junk.
That's a hard no
In a sport where people are changing engine mounts and chassis bolts to perfect the feel. I can't see pegs that move up and down taking off. Lean to the left side, lean to the right side, sit down, stand up.
Peg to foot controls will be different every time.
These also have to feel weird when gripping with your legs or not.
“I’m not like the other pegs!!!”
What in the everlasting, candy-sprinkled heck is going on with those pegs?
Kenny: We were testing all week, but we went back to the baseline foot peg settings for the main and they seemed to work great, made all the difference in the world. I think I'll take a couple clicks out next weekend though.
“Conepegs” made me laugh out loud!
$449.99 is more than the suspension on my bike is worth
The GS 800 Adventure I bought used came with Pivot pegs. I couldn't tell you if I can even feel them moving. The guy with says you can see them moving. It's just another "farkle" adventure guys can spend money on.
