Amazing ride. He's clearly a man amongst boys out there. Last year if Cole got that start he wins. Deegan improved that much he ran down Cole from back around 12th, I think. I've been very critical of Deegz sx skills in the past. But when I gotta eat crow, I gotta eat crow! He's the fastest 250 sx rider on the planet, period.

I have a question for the forum. Was that an all time ride last night? Seven Duece Duece said he's never seen anything like that last night since James was on a 125. Even when Deegz was outside the top 10, I dont think the gap between him and Cole was more than 6sec. Am I so critical of Deegz I'm not seeing that was a ride for the ages last night?

That was a great ride, but we can temper the James on a 125 comparisons....that was a whole different ballgame. As for Donger dominating on a 450...

As for Donger dominating on a 450. One word: Jett.

And finally: Deuce Deuce is terrible...

Agree on all fronts.

Everyone forgets that the Zach pass was not for a win…it was for 7th place….after going down in the first turn…probably the best move ever for a title but I wouldn’t put it in the same category as the beatdown we saw last night…it has its own category.

For sure. Last night was a pure beatdown. And that all anyone can name is one other race right now answers my question. It was an...

I'll be the first to admit, I would have bet Deegan was not going to catch Davies and Levi during the opening laps, and I would have lost that bet.

Same. Prime situation for Cole to make a statement and Deegz was the one who made a statement

Deegans ride was good. I wouldn't say it was one of the best ever. But  that thought may change as time passes and we see how all the other riders he beat develope.

Personally, I think Hunter and Kenny's race was much more impressive! They had 30 seconds on 3rd place.  More than a half of a lap ahead of 3rd and they lapped 8th place. Close to lapping the next few riders too. I thought that was an amazing race to see those 2 so far in front of everybody else. It was amazing!

Why were the split lane markers white and not yellow like marks the edge of the tracks?

The rules intention was to keep someone from jumping the wall not the entrance.

I hope they protest it.

What will they think when Deegan refuses to race the final rounds east west race?

I actually didn’t think Danger would make the podium at first . He has this ability to all of the sudden turn it up and close gaps quickly. Once he got close to the front it was over,  passed easily and put a gap on them in one lap.

He maturely really took his time and not rushing it in doing it too.

I agree, I think he may have laid back and let the field thin out so to speak so he didn’t get caught up in something while coming to the front. He played it perfectly and then turned it up.

Reminds me of Dungey. Smooth and fast and racing smart is bad for the competition.

Same color as they were last year because they changed suppliers for the track markers…the yellow ones were from Acerbis

Smart decision to stay back before moving to 450s.

So how does my bilingual topic similar to this go to the dumbgeon when this topic has even less to offer. Not to say that mine meant anything, but didn’t break any rules of any sorts?

Because it was dumb. You made a thread title about Hunter but made your post about Deegan.

Isn’t that how every post on here goes. 🤷🏾‍♀️ BLM

I’m not a big Deegan fan. The cringe is strong AF. Ever since his breakout ride at Washougal a few years ago I haven’t questioned his desire to win, or his ability. Eff the money, this kid was going to the top regardless. He absolutely made the rest of the 250 class look like a bunch of punks last night. He stomped you all. Davies folded like a chair and Kitchen, well he just Kitchened. Jo? I’ll give you a pass because it’s still amazing you are even out there let alone up front.

I am not a fan of Deegan but he’s the fastest guy to ever swing a leg over two wheels. Absolutely insane. He’s gonna smash these guys on 450s too. The new GOAT. They should induct him into the motorcycle HOF already.

Agree. If Deegan was on a 125, against a field of 250f, and he did what he did last night, then sure, compare him to JS. But he was on likely the fastest bike on the track so while it was a really good ride, it was far from the JS on a 125 days.

Credit where credit is due though, he was blazing fast last night. And I turned the volume down before he got to the podium, so I got nothing else to say..

But could he do it on a 125 smoker?

That’s what James did, and he did it really well.

Deegs needs to ride a YZ125 for the rest of the series. Give everyone else a chance.  If he did I’d attend the race anywhere for a chance to see a top tier rider race a two stroke.

too early to tell. he sure 'looks' the fastest, but his style doesn't seem to be to support sustainable speed and progression. i.e., he's going to max out riding like he does and get hurt.

Here is what I know of since he turned pro:

2020 collarbone

2025 knee/acl

2025 foot/ankle

it is still only 2 times recently. I guess time will tell. Your statement is a bit harsh.

How about deegan?

My only thing is why is a track cut like that a position penalty that results in a loss of position (win bonus) and a loss of points, but jumping on a Red Cross is a points penalty but they keep the position which means they keep the win bonus? Jumping on Red Cross is far worse.

2024 thumb

He doesn't crash a lot. But tiny mistakes/crashes immediately result in injuries sadly.

Honestly when you look at this current level and the riders, almost everyone got injured over the past years. Only Jcoop made every race last year? I also don't think Deegan will stay healthy forever once he gets on the 450. It's just a different level/speed up there if you wanna compete for wins and it comes with a certain risk imo.
