Just wondering if anybody had any good tips for breaking an old stuck tire bead on an mx wheel. I do not have a tire changing stand and I’ve done plenty of wheels on the ground I usually just struggle around with the stubborn ones till I get it. Just wonderin if anybody has some good techniques they do

Take a tire spoon and pry down on the tire. Should break it. I havent had any that stuck but maybe heat or some kind of lube would do the trick too.

Lay the new tire on the ground, then the old wheel and tire on that. You can stand on the old tire and pop the bead.

If it’s really stuck on there, lay it on the ground and run the tire part only over with a car.

a vise will do the trick as well if you have one big enough.

Get an old school bumper jack. Place the wheel /tire under the foot of the jack, hook the other end to a stationary point, and crank the jack up.

Those are some extreme bead breaking methods!

Just stick the "hook end" of a tire spoon in the bead, and it will push the bead right down with no drama.

I don't have any suggestion for you, but I want to let you know I feel your pain. And I'm here to talk, if you need it.

Sound like a awesome way to break a rim/hub/spokes/sprocket/rotor anything! Please don’t do this on a Moto tire... if you have a ATV tire this method works great not on a Moto tire...SMH
Get a good tire iron and some get some, also I have seen the c clamp trick work as well never have done it myself tho..

Take it for a lap around the track, break both beads at the same time ?

Not a technique but if your changing tires on the ground, do yourself a favor, get an empty 35 gallon oil drum. Holds wheel perfect, saves your back, and serves as a good shop trash can.
