I have just about completed my 1973 CR250M. I am still looking for a few small items like a brake spring, sprocket locks, etc. I guess it will always be a work in progress. If I find a part better than what is on there, I will get it (if I can afford it).

Identical to my buddy's bike back then. Quantum leap. Nice job.

Looking good. Guess you saw the most recent tank and pipe on Ebay, nos tank went for $3500.00 and the nos pipe/silencer combo were asking $2995.00. Not sure if that sold or not. What all did you have to do to your tank? I have a couple first year 250's that I will sort through one day and see if I can make one nice resto out of it all.

Beautiful. 73 & 74 125 and 250 Elsinores are pieces of art in my book.

No, that guy has listed several parts that I have bid on (pipes mostly). He is really into the Elsinores also. I haven't met him yet, but I vacation near there in the mountains so I may look him up. I may build one and sell it one day, but mine is a keeper.

When you bringing it to Chandler for a mud race?
No mud on this one, but I am building another one to ride. They look funny sitting beside my KX450F. A friend of mine has been buying some old magazines off eBay and bought a May 74 Minicycle. It has a race from Lone Pine, Al on Feb 24th, 1974 at Jackstaff MX. In the results it has Rick Allen in the 0-60 mod class from Three Corners, AL. Is this you or another Rick Allen?

Sorry I didn't reply sooner Mike. No that wasn't me. A race in '74 would have had to be a "let's see who can poop their pants first" race as I was a mere 1 y/o in '74.

There is a slight possibility it could have been my dad though. I have never really asked him if he raced any.

You coming to any Alabama Series races this year?

i got an email from Barber's the other day advertising a vintage race coming. I think it's in mid-October.
