The DJIA was roughly 13.5% lower than the ≈31k figure in that picture exactly 2 years prior from that date, and the DJIA was more than 16% lower than that ≈31k figure within that 2 year period.
I'm pretty sure the DJIA didn't even surpass that value until February of 2021.
How embarrassing
the world before 2008 was a very, very different place.
What’s your dollar worth today versus then?
What’s a gallon of gas costing you?
What’s “year over year” inflation escalated to?
How’re those interest rates doin’?
But, no worries: I bring up ACTUAL FINANCIAL DISCREPANCIES that are going on NOW…
And you simply go full TDS; and, that IS funny.
All the while…You are championing a failure…which, sadly…
Isn’t funny
Someone posted a picture stating the DJIA was at it's lowest point in a two year time period. That was obviously false and very easily disprovable. I posted some of the figures and dates that clearly pointed out why it was false.
I don't know what you're talking about.
No one said anything about Trump. There is nothing humorous in comparing some numbers and dates. I never even mentioned a name, let alone championed anyone.
I appears you are imagining arguments that never occurred and for some reason expect me to defend your imaginary position.

How blind can these people be
I fealt so privileged to make $4.10 digging holes in concrete while sipping on a warm big gulp at 5pm I got at 7am and my can of ravioli cooking on the engine block of the crane truck. Those were good times. I should of complained but I needed to work to support my family and the company would of just said "bye".

Remember “boomers” lived through the crazy inflation of the 70’s/80’s…they’ve experienced their own economic issues, and overcome their own obstacles, different, but no less significant or daunting, than what you feel you are facing right now. They survived and thrived, and so can you. But it’s up to you…and if you fail, that’s also up to you.
we're literally living in weimar america with inflation and degeneracy
Been wrong.
So When I said “you’re wrong” it was in response to the “hard work is more or less pointless at this point”…you are very wrong about that. Use your brain, leverage your network, take risks, work hard, and create the life you want for yourself. Simple as that…you might fail, but at least you fail on your own terms…but please don’t blame anyone else.
You think you should be there because you grew up there. But that's not how it works.

Our other property we bought as a foreclosure in 2008 or 2009 when the housing market took a huge hit. My wife and I were just dating at the time, and I saw her spend a whole lot of money for her apartment before that and I thought renting was really dumb, considering you were just throwing your money away. We could have sold it when we moved out to California, but we kept it and rented it out so that somebody else could build our equity for us. And then we sold a couple months ago.
Don't fight the fed, If Jerome Powell is saying that houses are overpriced, then they are probably going to keep raising interest rates to get it under control.
We got out of California 2 years ago, and it really seems like the ridiculous cost of living followed us to the Midwest.
I believed you the first time
