I heard about that a couple years ago and have been waiting ever since to hear about a defense against them. The local locksmith didn't even know what I was referring to when I asked about how to protect against bump-keys.

So, $80.00 will get you a bump-key proof lock?

Any locksmiths on the board?

It's a good thing those keys are illegal so the burglars won't be able to get them. Wink Actually I don't lock my doors anyway so there is no need for one of these to get into my house.

I heard about this a while back and it works. I've had to use it a few times..............that's all I have to say about that.

You can buy locks that are bump key resistant for a lot less.

One of my friend is a professional Locksmith In Chicago doing around 10 lockouts a day. Lock bumping can make an impossible entry easy. Lots of situations where it is a better option then picking, especially when physical entry of pick tools isnt possible. Bumping is just as effective or even more so then picking. Learn to do it properly and it does no damage, works just about every time. Having multiple entry techniques and skills increases your efficiency.

I would highly recommend Locksmith Elmhurst IL...They are 24 hour emergency service provider...For any queries regarding keys, locks, etc...you can contact them...i recently contacted them to make a new key for me...Their service is great...Smile And their service is affordable also for everyone..
