Led Zeppelin in 77 was pretty special.

Also, Monsters of Rock in '88 at RFK Stadium. I was working for a Kramer dealer and got to go down and present the Monster of Rock Kramer guitar to a guy who had won it on DC101. In the process I got to hang with my hero EVH, along with Alex, Mike and Sammy. Metallica were skateboarding on the ramps under the stadium and later we hung out and smoked cigarettes with Wild Mick Brown from Dokken while watching VH from the side of the stage. He kept saying that VH was his favorite band and what dicks Don Dokken and George Lynch were because they were always fighting and had no appreciation for how cool it was to be on a tour like this. "Dude, I just want to play!"

I have a coworker who saw that show at the Orange Show arena in San Berdoo, right after 4th of july there were roman candles going off, shortly after the concert a plane crashed into it the arena and it burned down

"Boston" backing up Black Sabbath.
People were booing Black Sabbath for Boston to come back out.
It was their breakout year and they were fantastic.

Pink Floyds "Animals" concert with the then 'new' laser light show and the big pig floating around was cool.

The original Texas Jam at the Cotton bowl in 1976 was epic.
After 16 hours and countless amounts of bands performing, we headed (stumbled) to the parking lot at 11:30PM and Aerosmith was just getting on stage.
Too much for one day.

Seeing Lynrd Skynrd on their last tour on Thanksgiving Day in Dallas was memorable as well.

Almost forgot seeing the Stones at the Astrodome.

They were great but ZZ Top backing them up kicked ass and brought another one of those dealios where the crowd wanted the back up band back on stage.

I was at that show, was a senior in HS. The acoustics were horrible. The Fabulous Thunderbirds played also.

For me Peter Frampton at the Sam Houston Coliseum in '76 was really good.

KISS in the Summit in '77 was awesome.

Rush in '81 on Moving Pictures tour, and REO on their Hi-Infidelity tour.

Ive been to so many shows, its hard to pick just one.

I too was there. Bad ass.

Texas stadium had a lot of epic shows in those days. The Allman Bros., and Joe Walsh etc.

The TX jam shows were always rockin', recollection of them is a little sketch though.

Another fav was Blondie backing up Jerry Harrison at the Band Shell in Fair Park. The music wasn't that memorable, but we were leaning on the stage, and Debbie Harry flashed her cooter at us.

I was at a Kiss concert in 1977, They would drop huge amounts of confetti from the ceiling at the end of the concert, the humidity or something made it all stick together so it came out in one lump and crushed us all up front. My cousin has toured/played on some albums with Boston, Pat Travers and Kansas back in the day so I've been fortunate enough to meet those guys. I've seen almost everyone and I think Pink Floyd was one of the best.
