In the interview i saw, he just said that he thought Cairoli was the favorite because of how much more experienced he is with GP racing.

There is already a post about this . He also says "no American has won a world championship on their 1st try".
But if RV #2 does he will be the 3rd

How many reigning champs have went over to race? Even Americans who won titles were considered "B" team guys........besides maybe Lackey. Seems like I remember Hughes not having a ride lined up in the states when he went.

Danny Laporte was the first American to win a World title his first year. The 1982 250 World championship.

Ryno also said that no American has ever gone over there and won in their first season. He was wrong three times over since Laporte, Schmit, and Trampas Parker won their first time out. Here is the video:

Donnie Schmit was an A team rider that just didnt want to race SX. Bobby Moore was factory quality just never worked out in the US and Trampas Parker other than some good LL rides was not even on the radar but I agree non of them were considered to be the Big thing in the US when they went to the GPs

Funny, but...we have this "Us-n-Them" mentality that's really not needed. The Sport has the most even playing field that it's ever had. Personally, I like the fact that we've got bad-asses form Italy, Netherlands, France, Australia, Germany, Russia, Estonia, Portugal &...yes...even that Nordic Country on Canada's southern border: Minnesota.

Note: if we're gonna let The Old Continent start basing their results as The E.U.? (As some are doing)...well...guess what? We'll go the other way and start basing our results on our separate states...

Next year we're sending 22 Teams from various "States"!

Btw, if we're gonna get Ryno's opinion, shouldn't we get LaPaglia's, too?

I think he still has lots of credibility, he knows what he's talking about. He was just mistaken about riders that have won a World Title the first time out.

I think he got his ass smoked by his team mate Frederic Bolley, so he shouldn't be advising RV2.

i agree with ryno- i dont think RV will win the championship next year. I am really looking forward to seeing him race though! There will be some great racing in mx1 next year- cairoli, paulin, RV, JVH, desalle, strijbos, nagl, searle, simpson.

Its going to be nothing short of epic! theres only one winner- the fans!

No, I don't think RV will win the world championship first season there...but I don't see Cairoli schooling him either. I just think AC will have the edge based on experience. I do see RV winning in 2016 though, if he stays in Europe.

RV will win next year in Europe and he will not race another year after that. he has already stated in the press release that he is in his last year of racing.

I think everything he said was reasonable and honest. Maybe not what the average hardcore RV fan wanted to hear but..

There are obviously some who interpret what Ryan says in the same way as ISIL interpret the Quran

Sorry but that's not how it works, back when they started changing the rules and format for the MXDN to put a stop to the American dominance and it still didn't work, that's is when it because USA against the rest of the world. When RV heads over it wont be every rider for themselves it will be the all the GP riders against RV. I may just be patriotic but the United states are one nation and proud of it.
