Yep, out of carbon fiber, that must be a "raw" version.

Looks more like Kevlar Scotty. The engineers must have heard from the guys on Vital about the splinters from carbon fiber! That is about the color of an unfinished cockpit door. Blush

Sheezuz! Surely that gets into the heads of fellow competitors.

Dang.

I wonder if they are trying to make the shrouds thinner, the bike does feel wide when sitting down and cornering.

This just made waiting for Janurary 7th so much more difficult...

Don't get me wrong, I am a huge James Stewart fan, but jumping has always been one of his strongest talents. The corners and whoops have been giving him the most trouble lately.

Those are usually his strongest points. With the resources he has this year at JGR, I think he will be back to his old ways. He definitely struggled with setup last season.

That dude has so much skill its unbelievable. He has the ability to see something, not jump it, and then bust it out during a race. Very, very tough but he has shown that when needed he will make something out of nothing.

Cant wait for A1...Going to be one badass season!

He had to go 52.7 mph to clear that thing from what I hear.

Has anyone listened to his podcast with Matthes? He mentions a couple times that he asked JGR to try something, and if they did he would sign with them or something along those lines, and we would all see at A1. I wonder if the "something" is slimming the shroud area? They definitely are wide, and a guy with bike control like Stewart needs to have his bike perfectly suited to him to perform to his potential.

Total outsider opinion with no facts, just thoughts I have. Maybe DV could shed some light if a company like Yamaha wouldn;t even allow something like that?

At 42-44 in this one, uploaded the same day it looks like, isn't that the same section? Looks like he quads the middle section.

It looks so easy on video, eh?

There's plenty of pics out already, showing how much slimmer his shrouds are over last years bike.
