Wardy where are you?
My guess is the AMA does not do shit again. There have been so many changes at the AMA that I cannot imagine they could fairly advance anyone.
I am sure there will be many "B" riders not getting advanced again.
The Shop
Hey Dave we just got home tonight. LOL it was 45 in tucson, when it was 54 up here.
now how does that work???
How many miles did you put on , you were in Texas to, right.
I am holding out hope that AMA does get this done. We are set on what classes we are racing but would be nice if a few B riders get moved to A.
Red Bud and about 6 other tracks. The district is still running other tracks but, It will be interesting to see how the rules play out between the two. Now I need a D-14 card for some and a GLMX card for others.
national points keeping is cool.
one nice on this process, it's simple. go to the AMA site and check results. Once you see a rider in question, you can see his point average. If that rider didn't get moved well it can be questioned. Once the process is refined it will be a good way to watchdog the system. The Rule book works kinda the same way, riders police themselves to a cetain extent.
Guy sandbaggin and dropping motos on purpose will always be a problem, and one thing I have seen in the 34 years of racing is this. Riders who sandbag like that never amount to chit, and usually end up quiting. they may get a little glory early, but the ultimate "amatuer glory" is "A" class, there you can't hide, and there you either suck it up and show your stuff, or go sit down.
Last year at Whitney was an issue because the powers to be allowed other Powers to be to influence decisions. Those people are not employed anymore.
Advancement can not be influenced by "who" you are. The numbers have to do the talking period. If a rider feels unfairly moved. There is a process for that to be handled.
The process has to be refined. BUT HEY! at least today there is a process!~!!!! it's taken 8+ years to get here.
Good job D6 !
District 6
D23 in Minnesota will be advancing riders using the AMA guidelines, from B to A for the 2009 season. Heard it straight from the Chairman's mouth, and we all know what he says, goes.. :-)
Pit Row
they will have it out soon i am sure.
