Dunno if anyone cares but Bell is back riding. It would be pretty awesome if he could actually put a good season together. Does he still have his huskey ride?

he's not racing and has no ride.

he bought a husky to go have fun from time to time.

he's taking some time off to get his mind and body healthy and see where that goes.

no time table for a comeback and might not ever come back.

I was wondering about him after seeing his name on the entry list for the MEC. Listed as riding a Honda. Just a couple months ago he was listed on the injury report as being out for 7 mos to a year. Swelling around his brain and some other stuff. Glad to hear he's riding anyway. Will he be racing Monster Cup?

He mentioned on his twitter about hosting a training class before MEC..didn't comment that he was racing it though.

I still think that first crash where he didn't knock himself out but layed on the track like a dead person messed him up. Then they let him race the next weekend. Shocked

Actually, I think that was from getting a real job. Maybe Zach needs to do some construction for a while.

I don't remember the year or the SX race but I do remember Zach's head slap from 35' up being the dirtiest crash I have ever seen in my 30 years of following the sport. Hope he makes a full recovery and finds another pathway in life. Remember some of his holeshots? What did he weigh? 100lbs?

Yes they did. I think that Asterisk Medical Crew was pressured to get him back out there because of the new 6D helmet technology. Bell went back out and crashed again that same night.

Dr. Bodnar could loose his license for something like that and astricks has nothing but a good reputation...so it's pretty safe to say that is a wild accusation.

It's pretty obvious when someone has a concussion...

He passed a concussion test twice that night. After the crash in his heat and after the crash in the main. That's why it was a big deal for the 6D helmets. Because 2 hard crashes and 2 concussion tests passed. I very highly doubt the Asterisks crew would let a rider go out if he didn't pass the concussion test.

I can't recall where that kid kept it on two wheels for a complete moto/main event.

I am not having this fight again. I am not saying that Dr. Bod or the asterisk crew had some conspiracy theory going. What I am saying is that Bell had no business being on a bike after that crash earlier in the night. That was one of the gnarliest wrecks I have ever seen. Many guys that were also racing that night agree with that statement. Some of them are more vocal about it than others.

I guess my question should have been, is Bell taking a break due to head injuries? I have to think Bell would have been better off taking a little more time off after hitting his head. I'm no doctor though. In the end Bell choose to get back on the bike.

He stopped riding due to a swollen brain. I do not think it was connected to his crash in Dallas. It was more due to multiple concussions over a short period of time.
