So what is the conversation between Jordan Smith and Alex Martin after the main? Smith in title contention, Martin dead last last week... Martin stuck it in there on Smith and forced him off the track and he went down.. I gotta think there was some fireworks in the pits after that one.. I watched the replay and its wasn't as "Dirty" as I first thought, more of both racing to the corner.. But still interested in knowing what was said.

Looked like they were both just going for the same line.

Are they building a championship together ??? No... two guys with same colours and same individual goal ! That's it !

Even still, you don't think words were exchanged right after?

Yeah, thought Ralph definitely misspoke when he went so far as to say that Alex Martin took Smith out. They just came together in the same line at the same time...definitely not a take out.

Deano and Anderson both block passed Freise one after another. Solid teamwork

For sure !

But after a few days, we will return to the fact is that's a race incident.

I was trying to think what teammates in the past that have actually took each other out, I know there has been a couple but can't think of them right off.. anyone have a memorable take out?

I'm sure words were exchanged but like I said in the race thread if someone has enough room to get to your inside and nudge you out, it's your fault. Just racing.

Shit was epic, only for him to go down right after by his own doing. They shock and awe'd him

Smith started out all the way outside

then he cut over to the inside while Martin was still in the air

They were on a different rhythm, Martin was doubling out while Smith rolled the last one. This is where things got hairy and contact was unavoidable

You can tell by Martin's body language that he wasn't expecting Smith to be so far on the inside when he landed

They actually both made it all the way around the turn, and over the next jump, Smith just ended up in the tough blocks

Matthes interviewed them both on his Pulp MX podcasts and they both seemed like just a racing deal and were fine

Pedrosa and Hayden in 2006 was a pretty bad example. Almost cost Nicky the championship.

Many people HATED Pedrosa for that one... and it wasn't so much the event, but his attitude afterward.

Since then, over the years, I've come to be more of a fan of Pedrosa.

What about the Ducati teammates in 2016, Argentina?

I think the posters on vital will ultimately decide if they were both OK with it or not.

Didn't Febvre and Van Horebeek take each other out a few times last year?

My thoughts were that AMart probably didnt think smith was going to come over as much as he did. Just a racing incident.

Racing deal... Dumb from Smith tho... You gotta know Martin is trying for the inside there and you insist on pushing the inside.

So many of these guys need to learn to fight another day...
