I'm trying to figure out what to say...my negative crabbiness is drawing a blank. After reading the interview with him is there anything bad about him? He seems so nice and polite.

Does he need to throw some pants out the rig, smoke a bowl, take out Reed (JS takes himself out), have an on track altercation, get a tattoo, dnf..........to get some press.

I think he might actually be too nice, normal, and down to earth to get much attention.

Josh Grant wins his first Supercross and JGR's first Supercross and only gets a short interview on Speed. Everybody wants to know more about Reed and Stewart so they can run there mouths off on a message board.

to be honest short is kind of boring to watch ride. There's some guys in the top 20 that have better style in my opinion.

Short had a good ride no doubt. I think he was just lost in all the drama. Let's face it... He ran a lonely race in second.Grant winning and Stewart / Reed / Windham crash were way more of an impact in the long run. especially since i doubt he would have passed any of the three had they not fallen. I do hope he can win a main this year though.

I agree. Short just quietly rode to a 2nd and may have won if there had been another lap or two with Grant's rear brake locking up.

You can say that he might have miss only chance of winning a Supercross main?

But he is a great guy.

thats how it always is with andrew. He doesnt have the flash and flair that a lot of other guys have so when he does well no one notices. hell looking through all the various "top 5 pick em" threads I have seen on the ol moto boards he only shows up in about a tenth of peoples picks.

I think nobody's surprised short's up there. People expect him to be up there.
But if he would be in Alessi's postion nobody would be surprised either.

That's the kind of rider he is, I guess.

MXA gave him lots of credit. I believe some vital reports did too.

Short is a bit under-rated maybe.

Blose was very impressive, nice stuff pass he put on J-Law too.

lets not forget that if we still had the wrangler grand championionship thing shorty would have won last year, he was the only racer to ride all 17 sx's and all 12 nationals, that guys the shit i totally hope he gets a win this year. By far the best role model for kids.

He put on a hell of a ride at A1. Started behind RV, 10th or so and dropped all those guys.
MXA did an interview with him a while back centered around him being the overall champ.
The guy is rock solid and WAY overlooked. Def. a "poster child" for kids coming up.

I would love to see the grand national championship again. Wish monster would do away with the triple crown and use that money towards a grand national champ. That would be way more exciting.

Watch the Speed coverage of A1 again. They talk about and show Short a total of what?....7 seconds and the guy finished 2nd in the race. Now thats bullshit coverage!

if short would have told a sponsor to get stuffed because they went back on their word would he get the shit tossed his way like dungey did....probably.

short is a very cool dude and a very good rider, his only problem is the same problem with everybody else these days. he has to race with james, rc or reed.

That's pretty gross. FYI, Andrew is polite and would never say anything like that.

Short is a workman, plain and simple.
Shows up everyday and gets the job done.

Not a lot of flash but the guy will be around a long time.
I'm sure the folks at Honda are happy with him, that is all that matters.

First off, great ride and result by Shorty

Now for hard part. He would have finished off the box had Reed and JS not crashed out. He would have lost the last spot on the box to a rookie. He was 12+ seconds behind Reed and JS when they crashed. Last and the hardest part to swallow, Reed almost caught him after he wadded up without a front brake.

I like Short, and hope him the best but, he has along way to go before he can be talked about in the same sentence as Reed, Stewart and RC.

So....Reed was only handed the #1 plate because Stewart was hurt and RC retired....and even then he almost gave it up to Windham after faking a broken shoulder!

Short is a solid rider and really nice guy. But Grandpappy used to say

"You can slow a race horse down but you can't teach a plow horse to run"

Short is a plow horse!
