Its a better play for him. Put the son in, maybe get a little tv time. Feed the sponsors. Him racing ans possibly not qualifying is a bad play.

I often wonder where Trey would finish if he came back and did a few races. He's obviously can still haul the mail and his fitness can't be that bad testing everyday for Honda. With how hammered the field is now I could see a top 10, maybe even a top 5. He was something else when healthy.

Typical vital BS. Turning something light hearted and funny into shit. You can see the joy on Chad and Ellie’s face talking about it. Chad accomplished a ton in this sport and made a damn fine living doing something he loved. He isn’t hating on Eli one bit.

Unpopular opinion, but I haven’t been much of a Reed fan since he held up Dungey from lapping him in 2017. Then I watched him reprimand his kid for YouTube, and that was pretty much it for me.

They never watch the video. Imagine the luck though that Reed’s son gets picked out of everyone. I think every past or present SX rider with a kid the right age has had that same luck.

I can guarantee that the lottery system that was suppose to be in place for the KTM challenge has been gone for at least 20 years. Lol
Don’t ask me how I know this….

I was not a big Chad Reed fan, but mainly because I was an RC and Stewart fan. But that changed somewhere down the line and I actually hope he can qualify for the main. I don’t watch YouTube, so not sure how he comes off these days, but his love for his kids is awesome to see. Let’s goooo Chad ‘

I don’t get it I guess…. “I miss the pre YouTube Reed”?
The guy is 40 years old, retired, and now traveling around with his kids racing at their pace. If you’ve watched the videos, the guy will give his kids every opportunity they want (as any parent
will), only if they want it! Does he have hook ups, of course… he's Chad Reed! Am I missing something? I’m no Reed nut hugger but I enjoy the content. If there’s 2 wheels, I’ll watch. And stoked for the Reeds to have their little dude racing SL.

But you're perfectly fine with making assumptions? Fan of not you should say least put in some effort before making a comment?

Didn't he always say he wanted to be the oldest guy to make a main before retirement? So yes I am assuming he's bitter about Eli being the oldest to win a championship and passing him for all time wins in the same season.

Just in case you didn’t notice; he’s already retired.

I was never a Reed fan when he was racing. Think it was his attitude and speaking style, but I really enjoy the YouTube Reed. Attitude is less, Elli reigns it in when necessary. He is a great father, has a great family and let me in to see what is going on in his life. I appreciate it.

As for his reprimand of his kid in the one video, I must of grown up in the wrong generation, because I would have bring given high fives to everyone if that was the extent of the reprimand from my Dad.

The way he reprimanded his son doesn’t bother me. It’s the fact that he considered that vulnerable moment “content” for YouTube, and published it for the world to see that rubs me the wrong way.

And he explained why he chose to do it. Chad had nothing as a kid. The only thing Chad had were used shit bikes and a burning desire. He made a statement that still resonates with his son. Either do it the right way, or don’t do it. They aren’t toys. Choose to be a kid who plays video games, or choose to chase a dream IF it is Tates dream.

Wonder if JT.01 will catch this post on his long trip home? Or if anyone knows it's a racer in the KTM Jr. Challenge that is named Reed...

Same with me. I thought it was always funny that RC and JS would destroy him every chance they got. The older he got the more I respected him. Now watching him as a mini dad is pretty entertaining. Seems like a good dad and not much pressure on his kids but have fun with it.

Poor chad all he ever had were used dirt bikes, a lot of people even in this forum had a hell of a lot less than that.
