Racer X may have forgotten the Fonz, but they sure can bust out the butt rock when needed.
And no, I'm not saying I agree with them.

how is DV better?
If not for that, he was a solid top 5 guy and all around nice guy. Sort of like Andrew Short, but with 2 championships.
Pit Row
Forget DV, Fonz, etc; as an Aussie, I can't believe Erin Normoyle didn't make the list.
DV was 2nd in SX in 2000 4th MX
Had some issues in SX in 2001, but was top5? in MX again
second in 2002 SX and top five I think in MX again....
Also third in the 250 GPs in 1999
Second in 125 GPs in 1998.
from 98-03 DV was one of the very top riders in world.
His career was better than Ernies...but Fonseca was a great rider.
BUT I see where you guys are coming from.
He was here winning mini-classes in the States far before he turned pro(think he started racing here at age 12).
I guess you could say he came up as an American racer in a sense, racing LL's....
He legally turned pro here in the States I believe, not in *Costa Rica (due to an age restriction on the big bikes in Costa Rica-he still rode the pro class though because they modified the rule for him,or something like that. But still he won titles down there). When he was racing pro down there,I think he was still racing AM's up here.
I would assume maybe this is why RacerX left Ernie out of that one.
But they should have given him a nod as they did Wardy.
All the other guys listed were already pro, racing the GP's before they raced here as pro's.
Post a reply to: Racer X "Top Ten Imports"...WTF!
