Afternoon practice they were aggressively cutting each other off, roosting each other etc and it appeared like words were exchanged ? Shenanigans, slight hootenanny yet no hullabaloo or slobbberknocker ?

Night qualifier and Reed comes in and executes this VEEERRRRRRY nasty pass for the lead (i THINK?) Sorry for the crappy pics and dudes head in way..... Shooting from stands,,,,, I do indeed have a new $492 fancy Nikon, so look the **** out,

I'll have the absolute filthiest pics for you from Toronto in a few days, both here and at www.ruparazzi.com You should also view my nonsense on Instagram, dammit... Rupert X

Reed rolled his r when he said hi to Marrrrvin. Musquin told him he's french, not Puerto Rican and called reed a wanker. It's over, they hugged it out.

I dunno much about Marvin and Chad but I'd love the chance to share some Shenanigans with Miss Juliana.. Slobberknocker sounds like a good time too

Marvin does some dirty shit.
When Anderson rides aggressively,he executes it brilliantly.
When Marvin tries the same,it doesnt.
My biggest criticism of him is his non stop cross jumping, why he has such a squeaky clean image im not sure..as I said i think a lot of his maneuvers are not very well thought thru.
Reed throwing his rear in his direction? Not something Chad does often...

Musquin got sketchy in practice and slammed reed and that started that. For as good as musquin is he sure does get sketchy and does some bonehead moves on the track that'll leave you scratching your head. I just dont like how he tries to play the innocent victim, own up to it. As much as barcia rides like an idiot, i did enjoy when he squared musquin up at Southwick and took his front wheel out.

Seely got sketchy and rammed the shit out of the Dunge, it's an sx track not a grass turn track.

When I saw that and the few seconds after I even told myself shit the championship is over (broken leg, knee or acl). I guess he will do a lot of rehab this week. It happens, riders are sometimes at 101%.

Back to musquin, i don't get the Internet rep some are trying to build. May have passed Reed, it happens, still the pass later was really ok. Block pass to move forward, it happens, it is racing, even Dungey had to force his way for instance in Toronto. About cross jumping, video or it didn't happen. Webb's comment from a few years ago that some fan boys like to repeat? Racing for the championship while the out of contention teammate of the direct competitor was messing up in and out the track, I think musquin was too nice to just give him warnings since many riders would have given a straight ticket to asterisk mobile. In other words would you be ok if Musquin, Anderson, Baggett, Wilson or Millsaps were messing up with Tomac right now?

Nice cast Mr X. You caught a couple. Same with the pics. With that Nikon, you will slice, dice, and cut corners faster. Party on!

About the pic of the homeless dude. Tough couple of nights to be sleeping outside. I feel for those that have to.

It is ok to debate opinions or perceptions, but do you have 3 exemples since 2009 where he did anything dirty ? (Except on webb where I would have actually broke webb in half)

I wonder because actually i have never been a huge fan of musquin simply because for me he is way too sweet to be a serious championship favorite. Same reason why dungey lost 4 titles to RV or is still under estimated whereas he has a pile of titles, for years it seems like "block pass" to get out of the pack was a bad word for them.

Marvin rides like an idiot and cross jumps people all the time, go to any race and watch live and you will see it. Emig has mentioned it on TV, Steve and others have mentioned it on Pulp and its been talked about on here before. Doesn't matter if it's for 11th in the heat, he will cross jump you. I'm all for block passes, etc as it makes the racing better and more exciting to watch. But once you start cross jumping and endangering the other riders, I'm out, you just moved into douche bag world.

I don't get it either, he seems like a totally cool dude in his interviews, when he is on Pulp, etc. But he rides like a total asshole sometimes. There are a lot of times where he rides like Barcia or Friese and is racing backwards instead of forwards. At times he is more concerned about keeping someone behind him than he is passing the guy in front of him.

So weird... he seems cool but doesn't back that up on the track.

Musquin does in fact cross jump somewhat frequently. He also gets really squirrely in rutted corners when trying to make a pass. I doubt any of us log races and times. If you haven't seen it, you're either biased or simply haven't noticed it.

I'm a Marvin fan also. But I can see the moves other riders like Reed probably wouldn't be too fond of.

During the broadcast they mentioned that Marvin was battling the flu with a 103 temp on the Wednesday leading up to the race. Could easily explain why he dropped anchor so bad...and if he was that sick it will take a few weeks to get back up to speed.
I haven't heard any other comments from riders concerning the cross-jumping since Cooper Webb brought it up a couple seasons ago. Doesn't mean it's not happening but, as much time as I spend listening to podcasts I thought it would be more prevalent from the riders...not just the commentators. 2 weeks ago when he cleaned out Bogle it was pretty uncharacteristic from what I've seen on the couch.

I would like to see some proof(video) of Musquin cross jumping and being dirty from some of you.

Or has it became the truth/narrative because JT said so in a podcast?

There are 2 incidents i think of. The one with Bogle (i thought that was fine) and Webb 2 years ago. And he took the line away from Webb multiple time on the ground, that is aggressive racing and there is nothing wrong with it. I don't remember any blatant crossjumping lap after lap, even Matthes disagreed with JT on that.

Nothing looks nasty about that pass to me. Reed just demonstrated a good old "drop in pass" to Marvin.

And, iWreckALot...I'm a huge Musquin fan, but he does have a nasty habit of cross jumping in front of other riders, and getting shaky in the ruts. I'm really suprised that nobody has given him any shit about it...that I know of at least.

Lots of others have mentioned Marvin's riding style and cross jumping behind the scenes. If its being mentioned on TV by the announcers then you know its readily available info.

If I remember correctly lots of riders were mentioning it one of the past Moto of Nation's. Not sure if it was past year or year before.

Marvin rides dirty, and he just smiles and it goes over. Most french riders have a tendency to ride a bit dirty IMO. Most in the past don't come off as pleasant sounding as Marvin does.

I second this.

By definition you need to be in the air to cross jump. Closing the line is just racing.

Most people these days can't decipher between good hard racing and dirty anyways... let alone anything incidental.

It can happen on the face of a jump too. That's my definition of cross jumping. Crossing someone in air is dangerous for both riders so you don't really see that much if at all. Cross jumping is usually done off the face of a jump so the only one in danger is the guy you cut off.

I watched Marvin and Webb racing two years ago. Can't remember the track. Webb squared him up a in a corner bit and was on left side of track and Marvin was on the right. They were racing towards a faily big and fast downhill single or double. Out of no where Marvin cuts over on Webb right on the face of the jump. Webb tried to check up but was already commited. It was such a dirty move. I thought for sure Webb was going down. Even scared the shit out of me.

That's cross jumping.

I don't think the OP was calling it dirty per se. I think Reed was giving Musquin some attitude.

I was going to say the same thing. It doesn't matter how good a long series of pictures are. I don't need to see them over and over in the same thread because a person making a reply isn't smart enough to check the box that says "quote last post only"

That was a homeless dude? I thought it was someone camping out early for tickets and fell asleep when the line started moving.

$492 Nikon camera~ "It's still a Nikon" said every Canon user known to mankind.

I have not seen Marvin crossjump or go over the line. Yes he is very good at riding defensive and a wide bike but as far as I have seen he has never done it in a dangerous way
