Afternoon practice they were aggressively cutting each other off, roosting each other etc and it appeared like words were exchanged ? Shenanigans, slight hootenanny yet no hullabaloo or slobbberknocker ?
Night qualifier and Reed comes in and executes this VEEERRRRRRY nasty pass for the lead (i THINK?) Sorry for the crappy pics and dudes head in way..... Shooting from stands,,,,, I do indeed have a new $492 fancy Nikon, so look the **** out,

Marvin: "Darn it Chad, excuse my language but that move was complete crapola! You can be a real fopdoodle sometimes."
When Anderson rides aggressively,he executes it brilliantly.
When Marvin tries the same,it doesnt.
My biggest criticism of him is his non stop cross jumping, why he has such a squeaky clean image im not sure..as I said i think a lot of his maneuvers are not very well thought thru.
Reed throwing his rear in his direction? Not something Chad does often...
Back to musquin, i don't get the Internet rep some are trying to build. May have passed Reed, it happens, still the pass later was really ok. Block pass to move forward, it happens, it is racing, even Dungey had to force his way for instance in Toronto. About cross jumping, video or it didn't happen. Webb's comment from a few years ago that some fan boys like to repeat? Racing for the championship while the out of contention teammate of the direct competitor was messing up in and out the track, I think musquin was too nice to just give him warnings since many riders would have given a straight ticket to asterisk mobile. In other words would you be ok if Musquin, Anderson, Baggett, Wilson or Millsaps were messing up with Tomac right now?
About the pic of the homeless dude. Tough couple of nights to be sleeping outside. I feel for those that have to.
I wonder because actually i have never been a huge fan of musquin simply because for me he is way too sweet to be a serious championship favorite. Same reason why dungey lost 4 titles to RV or is still under estimated whereas he has a pile of titles, for years it seems like "block pass" to get out of the pack was a bad word for them.
I don't get it either, he seems like a totally cool dude in his interviews, when he is on Pulp, etc. But he rides like a total asshole sometimes. There are a lot of times where he rides like Barcia or Friese and is racing backwards instead of forwards. At times he is more concerned about keeping someone behind him than he is passing the guy in front of him.
So weird... he seems cool but doesn't back that up on the track.
I'm a Marvin fan also. But I can see the moves other riders like Reed probably wouldn't be too fond of.
I haven't heard any other comments from riders concerning the cross-jumping since Cooper Webb brought it up a couple seasons ago. Doesn't mean it's not happening but, as much time as I spend listening to podcasts I thought it would be more prevalent from the riders...not just the commentators. 2 weeks ago when he cleaned out Bogle it was pretty uncharacteristic from what I've seen on the couch.
Or has it became the truth/narrative because JT said so in a podcast?
There are 2 incidents i think of. The one with Bogle (i thought that was fine) and Webb 2 years ago. And he took the line away from Webb multiple time on the ground, that is aggressive racing and there is nothing wrong with it. I don't remember any blatant crossjumping lap after lap, even Matthes disagreed with JT on that.
Pit Row
And, iWreckALot...I'm a huge Musquin fan, but he does have a nasty habit of cross jumping in front of other riders, and getting shaky in the ruts. I'm really suprised that nobody has given him any shit about it...that I know of at least.
If I remember correctly lots of riders were mentioning it one of the past Moto of Nation's. Not sure if it was past year or year before.
Marvin rides dirty, and he just smiles and it goes over. Most french riders have a tendency to ride a bit dirty IMO. Most in the past don't come off as pleasant sounding as Marvin does.
By definition you need to be in the air to cross jump. Closing the line is just racing.
Most people these days can't decipher between good hard racing and dirty anyways... let alone anything incidental.
I watched Marvin and Webb racing two years ago. Can't remember the track. Webb squared him up a in a corner bit and was on left side of track and Marvin was on the right. They were racing towards a faily big and fast downhill single or double. Out of no where Marvin cuts over on Webb right on the face of the jump. Webb tried to check up but was already commited. It was such a dirty move. I thought for sure Webb was going down. Even scared the shit out of me.
That's cross jumping.
$492 Nikon camera~ "It's still a Nikon" said every Canon user known to mankind.
