Very cool! I do a lot of track work (builds/prep) and it's all eyeball engineering. Never have the resources to do it this way - full engineered to a IFC plan and built from that. Just told my 15 YO who loves both math and moto, that here's a job he could educate towards and do as a career. Not that theres any $$$ in moto. Wink

Looks like another main track that's completely unrideable for the average weekend guy and only catered to A riders. I don't understand the affinity for having these massive jumps on public tracks. I thought the last Perris layout was really fun. I wish the new owners well but this is a bummer for guys like me

I agree, I’m waiting on vet track videos at this point.

Typical for most tracks now. All seem to be turning into jump for show tracks.

In one of the Youtube videos above, I think the week-2 one, he explains pretty well that they understand the main track has become too much for some riders/bikes and the vision for the "B track" as they will call it is to be doable for Novice, beginner, Vets, and vintage bikes.

You may have missed a few of the low lines that were built into those jumps. There are lots of smaller options that the rider with the GoPro wasn't using.

This video shows a guy riding the track without doing all the jumps. Seems to be fine for all levels. https://youtu.be/5jbzicG70P0

x3 I don't get it. You roll up to Elsinore and there's 4 people tops riding the main track because it's so gnarly. Why not have something that people can actually ride and have fun on? Last time I rode there I brought it to the attention of a guy who knows the owner personally. He said he likes it that way for the pros. The pros only ride there like 3 months out of the year.

I was there yesterday. Main was packed. Elsinore is all table tops…there jumps are pretty dam easy to do. There isn’t one track in Cali with “dangerous undoable” jumps for the average guy. Not everyone is an old man who rolls around the track. Some of us enjoy these tracks. There’s a reason they make you a vet track. Also they get ridden by pros and amateur kids every week. The constant complaints over actual fun tracks is so annoying. Don’t like it don’t ride it.

I'm calling BS. I rode Elsinore less than a month ago, the main is not "all table tops". The finish line is a good size double, along with at least 3-4 others and that step up in the back. All tables would be really fun

The ones guys are scared of are tables…the big jump in the back, the step up you literally jump to flat. Tracks need challenges. Not everyone wants to ride a turn track. Vet tracks exist for a reason

It’s not and you land to flat.

I don't necessarily disagree, but there was racing on both vet tracks yesterday, so naturally the main would be packed with the practice guys. Haven't ridden practice there in awhile, but last time I did I was practically alone on the main... And the main IS fairly easy imo, and I suck.

Looks pretty tame compared to some of the layouts over the last few years. Looks like they made some alternate landing spots also.
And pretty sure that guy just rode the whole track in 2nd gear?

Can’t wait to check out the new Perris. Forget about the jumps I’m pumped to see the new tiller work!
Elsinore main track is not so much the jumps, it’s more of the speeds and dirt later in the day. I just hope my bike stays together in some sections. Now back in ‘04…

04 Elsinore was insane. Main track on an 85 was terrifying. Couldn’t even hit the big jump in the middle out of the corner

Haha ‘04 I was on a big bike so it was not much of a problem getting that thing. That was more than 20 years after my mini days.😂 I was a vet then. Shit guess now I’m a Vet Vet

They said the vet track will be similar to the old main track. The new main track is for intermediate+ riders.

Don’t sell yourself short dude. You’re a good rider that has improved a lot the last few years.

I appreciate the kind words man! I'm really just speaking relatively of course... I'm just a 30+ Novice trying to scratch the door of Intermediate. I think the main track at Elsinore is a blast. The dirt that is what leaves a lot to be desired.

Perris is looking really good. Anyone can ride it based on the videos I've seen. Options for all skill levels.

Looks like a freeway with some jumps thrown in. And where is the epic track prep we've been told about? Hopefully it will get some more tweaks.....
