I am in Miami Beach on business and was strolling around Lincoln Road, a shopping area here with galleries, etc...

To my surprise I found a handful of Steve McQueen 1964 ISDT images in Art Photo Expo Gallery (www.artphotoexpo.com).

The images are artsy type stuff of McQueen - portraits, in front of the Parc Ferme.

If you are a collector of USA motorcycling history, these are pretty rare...

To top it off, the gallery owner, dressed like a normal South Beach business owner, starting telling me stories of back in the day about his old Husky 450 !!!

Moto in the strangest places....
Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable

I'm confused, because the Art Photo Expo Gallery says "COMING SOON"

Pretty cool.

Same sort of topic. My dad was at the local swapmeet & came across a hole roll of negatives that he & his wife took during On Any Sunday, never published. Has some pretty cool photos, even some good nudie ones of his wife.

Love the pic, but seeing that cigarette in his mouth and know that's what took him out bothers me.

Well if the cigarette didn't take him out the lead paint on his bike surely would have.

I hauled Steve McQueen's car from CA to CT last summer. This was the Porsche in the movie Le Mans and it was his personal car. The guy who paid me to take it across the country paid $1.25 million for it.

I tried to find it on YouTube but couldn't. It's in the first 7 minutes mostly.

He was my all time favorite actor and the one that got me interested in bikes. The guy died young of lung cancer. Nothing romatic about that.

McQueen died from methelthesioma (or whatever it's called), not cigarette carcinogens. Admittedly, cigarettes didn't help the situation, but when Steve was in the navy his bad-a** attitude got him assigned to the worst details, including scrubbing asbestos out of the hulls of old ships. That stuff contaminated the air and settled in many sailors' lungs, include one Mr. McQueen...

I'm baffled because the thread starter said he found a "handful" of Steve McQueen 1964 ISDT images in the Art Photo Expo Gallery, but when you click the link it says "COMING SOON"

Saw somewhere the fireproof suits he wore during his day were loaded with asbestos.
