I know they didnt wear transponders but did anyone use a stopwatch or their phone to clock some of Rc's times compares to the 450s??

I had to work and missed the race entirely but I was interested to see how this race played out.

You know each guy, if asked, probably said it was all in fun and not really meant anything.. yada yada yada.. but we are talking about some one the best racers to ever throw legs over a seat! You know they were out there tryin!

I thought RC would win but then I began to question that.. considering Reynard just ran Loretta's and I think Ferry has been riding a lot lately..

I believe it will be available for replay like the others come Sunday... I'm thinking Ricky could get top 20 even out of
shape...

As many of us that wonder the same thing, you'd think at least one gut out there was timing a few of the laps.

I'm still wondering what happened to KW! He was closing down on RC then disappeared. Doubt he faded that bad...must of went down but nothing was said or seen.

You must have watched a different 'exhibition'!

KW went from 3.5 seconds back of RC in the first lap to right around 2 seconds for the next couple of laps. The camera went to Emig and his flat for a while...when they went back to the front it was RC then a gap to Reynard and KW was about another 4 seconds behind him. That's a tip over or a stall type of change...unless he gave up and started waving to the crowd!

Based on the video of it, RC did a low 2:30 something on the second lap. Maybe like a 2:32. Can't say for sure because the camera followed him to the last turn but then stayed there looking back down that straight away vs following Ricky to the finish line jump. He crossed the finish line to get the green flag at 7:07 of the video on vurb and went through that final corner at 9:34. K-dub's time that lap was probably high 2:20s.

I think the true numbers would probably upset a lot of people...

Were you there? Just curious because I didn't see KW rolling jumps when I watched.

I timed it with the stopwatch on my phone. I was live at the race and just timed from when they hit a spot right in front of me. They went past me 4 times so I got three laptimes:

2:31
2:29
2:31

Don't doubt RC he looked like he shed some weight. And when he was fat and they did the moto3 the movie dungey is talking about how Ricky still throws down similar lap times to him and he said "I wonder sometimes should he really still be that close to me?"

I was very close to the start, just after the horseshoe. Thats where my timing started and ended. So it would not have included the last 80% of the last lap.

Guarantee you Carmichael can still throw down a top five or even top time. No way he'd win a race. Maybe top ten if he's fortunate, but for one lap, he could still be right there with the best of them.

Cool, thanks!

Still leads back to my original question...wonder what happened? Seems weird he all of a sudden dropped that far back and started cruising.

Sounds like Him and RC planned something like the time Him and Pastrana bumped fists or whatever over the triple in SX. only problem was RC couldn't slow down once He took the lead. His DNA won't allow it.

Sad, but your probably right he couldn't win a race. Even the goat can't fight time, he's 35 now. That being said, he could still run js7 speed outdoors

Last time I checked "rolling a jump" means you do not leave the ground. I see air between the ground and his wheels.

He couldn't even come close to JS right now. he has been out of it for too long. He could definitely be the fattest guy to ever finish in the top 15 maybe.

Rc had js in check for the majority of his last 2 seasons. Even when js7 didn't crash his brains out Rc was within 30 seconds over a whole moto. Where you think Bubba will finish in a moto next season? It's not like he has gotten any faster outdoors

You are right about RC and Bubba during RC's last season. But that was 8 years ago and about forty pounds ago for RC. He is not training and riding everyday like he used to so he has lost a lot of speed and race fitness.

Yeah, that edit I made on my original post lost the point. If rc wanted to train, and get back in shape he could run Bubbas pace outdoors. Right now in his current meatball physique, not a chance. Shorts average lap was 2:32, he finished 12th.

Jojo Keller and Marty Tripes both got pretty thick during their careers. Put them on the fat top 15 finishers list.

Yea not sure of the engine, or suspension internals, outside looked wheels, hubs, pipe, frt brake kit, moto tassanari air boot, maybe full hinson, maybe ml512 can chime in.

Yea, I heard his riding is basically still on pace with his previous race pace.
