Has anyone ever heard of this company? They seem to have a pretty cool idea going allowing you to choose your colors of the gear for a very cheap price in my opinion compared to some of the gear out there these days. Wondering if anyone has any experience with these guys, how is the quality of the gear? Is it worth it?www.kwracewear.com

a buddy of mine just showed me them a little bit ago, seems like a pretty cool idea, I just don't know if the quality will be worth it being as it's only $140. My gut makes me feel I'll be better off buying some fox gear.

Right at the beginning of the year I ordered a set of the company KW Race Wear, and I'm very happy.
Great quality, solid pants.
After many training clothes still look like new.
Certainly request More sets of them, and the company is Polish, I was riding in the UK after areas of heavy and I'm realy happy, and that the price is low, because the company is new on the market and probably wants to win customers
I really recommend!!!!

I ordered a set from the company KW Race Wear, and I am very happy !! You can choose the colors that you want, the quality great, after a lot of training on the rough terrain continue to hold great, the price is low because it is a new company on the market and I think they want to win customers.
Now take the promotion on their website www.kwracewear.com 139 euros per set. They just want to grab customers, and really worth because the clothes are superior quality

KW is originally a company that makes Speedway kevlars and bike covers, i guess they have expanded into MX now!

It's a legit company, one of the biggest manufacturers of speedway race suits.

I bought a set when they had their black Friday sale. I really enjoyed the design part of the process, when you choose style and colour.

I was a bit skeptical like you as I hadn't read any review.

I received the kit about two weeks later, the shirt material is super thin compared to fox, thor ect...
And they use this same thin material on the back part of the pants on the lower leg that goes into the boot. Seems really strange, I asked them about it and they say it stops material bunching up in the boot. Where this thin material is stitched to the rest of the pants it is triple stitched, but along one full length, about 8 inches it is only held on with one stitch(on my set). For gear that is custom/hand made I find it very poor that the person that made it either didn't give a fuck about their poor work, and it was also missed by their quality control.

I contacted kwracewear about this and they said yes it was a manufacturing fault. And my options were send it back for repair, costing me $ to post, or give me €30 off another set (the same deal they give anyone off the street) so now I'm gona pay someone €10 to fix the problem. Not a lot of money I know but would anyone buy new fox,TLD, thor kit and then pay to have it fixed before you have even used it?

I also asked them what material they used on the inner part of the knee, normally leather on good quality pants. I was just curious as there is no tags on the pants indicating materials used. I had to ask three times before it got the answer, some mix of kavlar. Seemed very defensive of this question, or just didn't know.

I gave up on a resolution of them trying to make a happy customer, I was very close to sending the gear back for a refund, but I just decided I would use it as practice gear. If they had offered me a t-shirt, or something small just to make amendments i probably wouldn't be so pissed about having to fix brand new gear, I will admit I pretty much left the ball in their court, and when I gave up on them really stepping up to do the right thing they gave up too.

I haven worn the gear yet as it's still winter here. So I can't comment on how it wears, it does look good and besides the manufacturing fault, the pants look fairly tough, besides the thin material on the lower leg.

TLD for me next time.

Not sure of the price difference but you can get the same thing from CANVAS MX and that company is in the US and owned by a racer.

That would be the best thing to do. Much more well known and in the US.

Plus, I haven't seen Canvas stoop as low as the imposter propaganda marketing tactics used in this thread (and many others lately) to try to sell something.

Do you think any gear is actually made here in the USA? Its all out sourced go look at any of your tags! That's not that big of a deal tho because the majority is all designed (graphically and material wise) here but is shipped out to keep the gear at a reasonable price.

Hey guys,

Just wanted to chime in here and show you all some of our latest work. We have had a lot of growth with adding a lot of new products to our company in the past 6 months since I have been on the couch waiting for my foot fusion to heal before getting back to racing.

We have added complete custom MX pant and jersey, custom MTB gear, custom cycling gear, custom pit shirts and jackets as well as custom bags. Everything we make is 100% customizable and you can either request a design template from us our design anything you'd like by using our online designer. Just simply choose any product you'd like and you can get straight to it.

We have just added a "premium fit" jersey as well. Slimmer fit and getting a lot of good feedback on it. We now make all of our own fabrics in house as well in Argentina. Radikal Racing is our manufacturer and we have formed a great partnership with them in the past 2 years. We will be rolling out an all new pant as well within the next 6-8 weeks that we are very excited about.

For those of you that don't know to0 much about sublimation, here is a video we made while visiting Radikal in last November. http://www.canvasmx.com/the-process/

Lastly, here is some eye candy for you all of some of our newest designs.

Wow thats an awesome thing you guys are doing, I'm definitely going to look into it. I think its an awesome idea to be able to create and customize your gear to how you want it. The prices are a bit higher than others but it seems like the gear would be well worth it.

As a custom painter, and graphic design guy, I'm interested in the technology that makes this possible. Maybe Michael could answer a couple questions. Is this stuff printed in a printer, like graphics are, and then sewn together? How is it possible to get things to line up, like the accordion material at the knee, with the other varied materials?

I'm not interested in getting into this business. But I do find it fascinating. Amazing stuff.

Some of those KW designs are very good looking in my opinion.

And you get 2 sets of KW for one set of Canvas gear, even though i really like Canvas the pricing is a bit high in my opinion.

Yeah this would definitely be something up your alley... It is a very similar process to what you do I am sure. We don't have many secrets behind what we do. The video below shows every process of the jersey made from the very thread we start with to a complete custom jersey. We make our own fabrics, sublimate our own product and sew the final pieces together with everything 100% dye sublimated. We don't require our logos to be on the gear or put any limits on what we offer. Even for people such as yourself, we can send out PDF template for you to do your own artwork as well.

Check out the video, any other questions feel free to let me know. My direct email is michael@canvasmx.com as well.

Nothing against anyone or any other gear company... Just a little insight as to why our pricing is what it is. We are giving people a completely blank canvas to create anything they wish. The magic of that is making 1 quantity of each design. Example... Regular gear companies can cut up to 500 sheets of fabric that contain 1 pant each at a time. We only create 1. There is 27 pieces that get sublimated on our pants and cut individually. There is a lot of work to do this and that is the exact reason that the pricing is what it is for a custom pant. Now take a jersey for example... You buy a regular jersey for say $49.00 and you throw a logo on the front and some name/number stuff with heat transfer material. That is an additional $40.00 on average and now you're looking at $89.00 for a finished product. We dye sublimate anything in with any design you can come up with or create whether you advertise your own company, something you like or just want a blank jersey with a name and number on it...

Again, to each their own and I respect everyones opinion in regards to our company. We are just trying to produce something different in hopes of changing our amazing sport for the better. Take racing for example... We need outside money... Bringing in major sponsors to our industry may want or demand something like this to control the branding on both bike and rider. That is where this idea originally came from with my racing and turned into what it is now.

Sorry to rant, just wanted to share my thoughts. Take it for what it's worth! Lol.

Thank you for the info Leib! I have been curious and looking into you guys! With my own clothing brand I have wanted to do something with my own designs and how it works! One more question do you guys have a limit or certain brands you dot have approval for to use or is it up in the air? I know that is where it can get a little sticky. I will be doing an order very soon tho! Thank You

I understand all that, one off stuff makes it way more expensive than something massproduced and Canvas is a unique and very innovative brand because of all those things. And i fully agree with you on all that. I actually admire the whole idea behind it. Look at F1, MotoGP and pretty much all the other motorsports and the drivers/riders suits/gear. You wont see a massive Alpinestars logo on their chest like in our sport. The actual sponsors of the teams gets those spots and Alpinestars gets to have a logo on the shoulder and the knee of the suit. Some could argue that our sport is a heaven for the gear guys(the gear reps reading that wont agree with me, i know).

But for me(a Finnish B class weekend warrior that is studying) that isn't a thing i need. Canvas is a bit "niche" for people without any sponsors. For me a 100-200 dollar/euro set from what ever company is enough for me that doesn't need to please sponsors. And it was a bit unfair to compare Canvas and KW since KW only lets you pick the colors not any logos so that is my bad, but like i said i'm not in a position that requires logos.

And you get 2 sets of KW for one set of Canvas gear, even though i really like Canvas the pricing is a bit high in my opinion.

Lol.

As for yourself, I completely understand that. Like I said, it may not be for everyone and that is fine by me. However, we do sell an all blank white or all blank black pant for $99.00 and can get a blank set (White/Black) for $149.00...

That is how the idea came about with my family... Sitting around the fire watching Nascar in the background... I raised 30k in my all white gear in 2015 before my big injury in Oakland from promoting companies. Nascar knows how to attract money. Why don't we or have we followed in their footsteps in the 50+ years our sport has been around? Just an idea I decided to take initiative of and give my take on how things should be done in the industry. If I can help people in that way or give people a platform to support someone on a higher level or give someone the opportunity to be different or support their company, awesome. If not, not bothered.

Regards
And this account uses a KW email address... Come on... Pinch

Michael, I think you're idea is outstanding !! And after going to your website ,Ive decided to order a couple sets. I did email you guys a couple questions about some vintage logos and the lettering/numbering on the rear. This gear should be a hit with the semi well-to-do Vintage crowd that liked the simple clean designs of the late 70's. So maybe look into my email and let me know ..Thanks Mick

Hi guys,

I've spot this subject couple of days ago as we have a lot of website entries from vital, and would like to clarify few things.. This is first ever post created by KW Racewear over this forum. Emails though, related to KW can be a lot as we have affiliate program where customers can make sales themselves to gain commision or discount.Cant control what people are posting these days and for sure have no time to search for them.

Subject itself is very interesting, especially in matter of design, production and prices, so I would like to take opportunity and join conversation so any of you can get info straight from the source when needed.

Also, here is my email
tom@kwracewear.com
you can contact me directly if you need any info !
