Weege said the other day Suzuki is trying to look after him but based on what RC said at RCU down here, i'd be shocked if he has a say in it.

Having said that, he wasn't always a Weimer fan either.

.....So what did RC say about him at the university. And at this point, he better get a long with Kyle Regal again if he wants a ride

Mmmmm. He wasn't very complimentary.

Suzuki will lose any credibility they have left by signing Stewart again.

He had one more year on his contract. Your post is irony at it`s finest.

Maybe he will Retire!

Doesn`t sound like it. Highly doubt (don`t believe) he`ll be on RCH.

No way RCH sign him. They've got big names in there already in the form of the 2 owners, they want results , hard work and value for money, not an ageing prima donna on high wages who only shows up when he feels like it.

|

9/12/2016 2:48 AM

Don't think it would work out at RCH IMO, because I believe if James had an issue, RC would tell him to suck it up and get his ass out there. There is no word "quit" in RC's vocabulary.

question is how much pressure will come from japan to have a big name signing now they're being the full factory effort?

Hate to say it...but Stewart is a second tier rider...as of rite now... And I'm a huge Stewart fan..He can change all that though!! All he has to do is finish a complete series..Win or loose...if he just completes a whole series his results will be there by the end..

Problem is all the big big names are already locked in....I bet in 2018 they will get someone...ET maybe?

Is that actually the case. I could have sworn Pulp/Weege/JT were discussing the other week they thought he had because of that TWMX video but apparently doesn't... ?!?!

He did. And Suzuki Japan is behind him. From what I understand they decided to terminate it.

I don't even see him as a second tier rider anymore.

Kinda like a Jeff Alessi in sx. Good dude you hope will do good Maybe makes a main here or there but not a top ten guy consistently or A threat to win.

There is no team anymore, so the contract is terminated. Suzuki Japan is still behind him.

Let me make sure I'm reading this correctly, are you saying Stewart is only a threat to make a main "here or there?"

9/12/2016 6:31 AM

RC is the guy who could tell him to shut up and ride it!

Heh! You're probably right.

I was thinking though...aside from RCH, what top-tier rides are open for Stewart? Honda? Full. Kawasakt? Full. Yamaha? Full...and it would never happen. KTM? Full. BTO? Full. JGR? Again...been there, done that, it'll never happen. And...full. Suzuki...I mean, RCH...?

As crazy as it seems it is very accurate, its not like James makes a habit of finishing series nowadays.

|

9/12/2016 7:34 AM

James still has the name recognition for an outside sponsor. I'm not sure if Yosh fills the void that Jimmy John's left or not. But if they still want a big name sponsor James will help with that whether he is first or last.

|

9/12/2016 7:44 AM

So what is the problem with signing him on a contract that is heavy on the bonus side.

Like OK James you want a ride

100k salary

big bonus for top 3

potential to make millions if you win

if you don't nice try

Not saying James would do it but his rides seem very limited on top tier teams and I don't see how anyone would shell out a million+ on him with the shape he's in and his results.

So it may be his only choice if he wants a good ride.
