Pingree says:
I spoke with Randy Lawrence this week and we started talked about Jason Lawrence. When the two of them began working together in January, I thought there might be a chance that Jason could really turn things around, keep his nose clean, and reignite his career. Well, Randy explained that they haven’t been working together since a little blow-up they had in Daytona. I couldn’t figure out why Lawrence wasn’t improving and seemed like he was just riding around out there. Now I know. Don’t hold your breath waiting for him to come around, folks.

Summer 2008 has come and gone many moons ago.
On another note he seemed much more like the old Lawrence at Houston, and if you read Racer X's Sign of the Laptimes, it showed him with the 5th fastest time overall and that was the lap before Wey sought out revenge. So had that not happened it would of been interesting to see how he would of finished, had he not been taking out and took a lap to start his bike. All i know is he hauled ass last year at St. Louis and the soft rutty dirt suits his style very well.
Well during the week i would take a couple puffs and go hit the ball, was playing about 6 hours a day. Long story short, i was hitting the ball so damn good during the week, but come tourney time on weekends i would choke. Well i started puffing at tourneys and would play at the same level as practicing during the week.
Of course you cant draw to many parallels from playing tennis to racing MX, and when racing my Pilot it was the complete opposite, I coudlnt ride for shit while cooked.

Passing a drug test should be easy for a top athlete unless is PED's
Someone needs to get this kid some help.
I'm in a love hate relationship with drugs. I have anxiety and whatever the hell else doctors diagnose me with. Been on so many drugs-legal and non legal. Hell even rode on lithium once-that shit makes you out of it.
I'm coming off a 5 month everyday habit of weed and got some painkillers and been taking them everyday for 3 weeks now instead. I didn't really have any withdrawals on the weed but after 2 weeks of taking painkillers from a root canal then running out I was jonesing real bad and already feeling withdrawals from just 5 to 7.5 hydrocodone a day-pretty low dose. Went to my ent and scored some more. I am wired writing this right now on them because I can't sleep.
I don't know if I like the weed or painkillers better. I know I feel like shit either way whether I'm sober or not so I self medicate. Weed has it's ups and downs. I tend to be in a much better mood and not as grumpy. Painkillers are more numbing and I'm a little more grumpy. I do get that paranoia with the weed also if I smoke too much. I tend to gain weight on the painkillers also. Remember ron-ron and the weight he put on? Not saying the pain killers did that to him but I've already gained 2 pounds in the last 3 weeks on them and my eating habits haven't changed. When I had a habit about 7 years ago I gained about 30 pounds. I think they slow down the heart rate and metabolism. With weed my heart rate always get over 100 after smoking for about 30 minutes.
I like the weed but it has it's ups and downs. I never rode that well when high and never really felt like riding to be honest but I would play the shit out of some reflex and do real well when playing high. Don't play as well on the painkillers though. They kind of fuzz me out a little more and blank my mind where the weed get's my mind thinking more but hate that paranoid feeling so I have to watch my intake. The withdrawals and jonesing feeling suck ass on painkillers.
Do any of you guys self-medicate do help depression/anxiety/etc.? I know alcohol is popular but I just don't go there. I remember the best I felt in a while was when I was on a high dose of paxil. I was riding all the time and racing but man I was manic, agitated alot. A real asshole. Now I take lexapro, valium as always and lately been self medicating with weed and now painkillers.
Sorry to go off topic and long post but I can see why some self-medicate. I also know I have a very addictive behavior and problems with drugs. When I was not taking anything i was constantly going to the doc trying different anti-depressants, off label drugs to help and just couldn't find anything. Doctor finally told me there's nothing more I can do unless they come out with something new. Pretty frustrating.
