Do we see the two-time X Games gold medalist at some of the remaining outdoor rounds? Pro Circuit 450? TLD gear? I'm hearing rumors...

if he was smart he'd ride the X-Games win to a paying SX job. If he rides the last few outdoors like he traditionally has , his value will drop.

maybe his sx ride is contingent upon how he does outdoors? They probably want to see more. I wouldn't hire a guy after a one off race win. Especially if it was the only race he did all year.

I would love to see him ride some Nationals and do well. But 2 Motos at Southwick, a rough sand track with high humidity is day and night different than a short supercross race in L.A.
Good luck to him.

I hope he can put in some good results and get his career rolling in the right direction again.

Good for him if it works out.

Yeah he could probably do ok at Budds Creek and Steele City, as both of those tracks have a fair amount of "fun jumps" that Lil' Hanny likes. But the 'Wick is gnarly.

Either way, I'm hoping he does good.

Never thought I'd see the day when we'd be rooting for a guy to secure an SX only deal...

I've always thought he was the biggest waste of talent since Lechien.... I know, I know, tough to call a former national champ a waste, so maybe the wrong term

That being said, I'd love to see him prove the naysayers (myself included) wrong. Maybe he's finally getting his shit together and I think everyone on this board can relate to that in one way or another.

my friend has been at pro circuit doing a photo shoot for Maxim Magazine for the past 2 days and said Lil Hanny was there and had two meetings with Mitch and the guys, and according to my friend, Josh is without a contract.

That would be some great news if it happens. Smile
Josh is a good dude and I think if he dedicates himself to racing the remaining rounds of the Nationals he will put in some good results.
Also Mitch,Monster &Troy Lee hooking Josh up and believing in him.... is just what he needs.I hope it all works out.

He will for sure drop value if he rides. He has the talent but probably will run like 15th or so.

Considering what the field is looking like I wouldn't be so sure about that.

If the weather at southwick is like its been for the past 2 weeks, its going to be one tough race. I'm 30 minutes away and its been 94 and rediculously humid for over a week. Should be a good race for conditioning...

Tehe thing about Hansen is he has the ability to be as good as he wants, he could do really well outdoors if he put the effort in he is an amazing rider... will he ever put it together who knows... but he is getting plenty of chance lets hope he can.

i think he should hold off and race the US open and maybe some of the international SX races across the pond. he's not nearly as good outdoors and i wouldn't want to see him go backwards after a good showing at the X-games.

I think it will be interesting to see who drops out first J-Law or Hansen. Probably a battle to drop out within the first lap or two!

I wouldn't touch Hanny for anything in either outdoors or SX. He has proven he isn't going to change, why would he start now?

because he is starting to prove he IS changing. he did great at x, just think, even if he placed top-ten outdoors, that would settle the minds of teams looking at him for next year and wondering about his outdoor skill, they've seen he can run indoors. i think if josh is confident he can run a good pace outdoors it will help him in the long run.

No way he can finish in the top 10 overall...hope he does but unless he has been a training maniac don't see him in shape to go 35 minutes twice.
