Seen it posted on here and on Instagram the booters they put in at Glen Helen. Please tell us fans that shit isn't staying for the race next weekend. I am all for seeing a few big jumps on a track but that is not acceptable by any means for a 30 +2 race with 40 guys out there. Let's keep these guys healthy for the whole season so us fans can continue to see awesome racing. Are they trying to get guys seriously injured?

DC won't do anything about it. Glenn Helen track builders have been stupid for years and nobody does shit. Welcome to the new America!

Loved Barcia's comment, to the effect if the track builder goes out and sends it first were all good with it. If they won't do it, then yeah something is wrong with it...

Looks like they took out the huge triple step up and the big drop in jump in the back section for this year.

No, it's still there, triple step up into a big double.

The finish line is this big table to single. Its not too far distance wise, but its tall and steep.

When will these stupid jumps stop? When someone dies? Jumps that large do not belong on a track where guys race 30 +2 twice. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

This has already been a topic of discussion...even among the top riders. I think you have too little faith.

I'm glad they took out the fly 150 jump this weekend. The rollers were great. Yes take out those massive jumps

I can admit to my lack of faith and be happy to eat my words "if" DC puts Jody and his track crew in check.

If there is ever a time to form a rider's union its now. If the rider's and teams don't do anything to prevent Glen Helen from making jumps this large, other tracks will do it too. Just wait till we get to Iron Man where that track has massive hits. I remember a time when Larocco's Leap was the largest jump on the circuit. Track builders and promoters these days are more concerned with having high flying tracks than tracks that actually promote good racing. I will say I am glad Hangtown took out the dumb Fly 150 jump and replaced it with the uphill whoop section. Lots of passing and racing in both classes made for good racing to watch. Once track I loved to see rider's race on was Broome Tioga back in the day. We need more natural terrain tracks like the GP's and less outdoor SX tracks. Loved to hear Barcia voicing his opinion on the Glen Helen track.

If enough of the "high flyers" voice concern....let's hope they are heard. DC is reasonable fellow. Pretty sure he can tell the difference between WOW and OHHH F@#K!

I went to Glen Helen last year and the pretentiousness of the track is rediculous and a 3rd of the track is routed through the boonies where you can't see anything. The track is dug so deep, it doesn't matter where you sit, visibility is poor.

Counter to yesterday, it's the best layout and view of any motor race I've ever been to

I think the main problem here is Jody. Guy thinks he's doing a service to the sport trying to kill somebody. Time's up dinosaur.

I seen DC replied to a similar comment on IG stating he has been concentrating on Hangtown all week and is going to start working with Glen Helen tomorrow so hopefully some changes are made. You can have a big spectator jump and still make it safe so the consequence of a bobble due to lappers, track deterioration, mechanical, etc doesn't result in a broken back. Where is the common sense here? Yesterdays racing was spectacular. All the top guys dicing it out, just exciting racing and everyone went home. Do we really want to see tops guys dropping out due to injury throughout the season because of a few very poorly thought out obstacles? Does risk vs reward not come into play here? What is the reward of this jump? The spectators will be wowed by it and forget all about it come Monday. The risk? Some top guys getting taken out and the rest of the season becomes boring AF and views and attendance plummets.

I know for a fact that Davey has asked for changes before and it was done. Best know all the facts before making false statements. I think all the tracks need slowing down and made more technical and racer friendly and not any SX type jumps but I am old fashioned and this is just my opinion.

Fine and dandy but fill the shit in. No reason in the world to be casing a wall. Is there a dirt shortage?

Anyone got some visuals of this killing field everyone's talking about, or is this just the beginning of the annual 2 week ritual lovingly known as the "Jihad on Jody"?

I am headed to Glen Helen now. Like Mr. Info said, Jody and I will work together on making appropriate changes, it always starts at one point and ends up at another. I hear the riders and team managers loud and clear. We will get to work at Glen Helen this afternoon.

For what it's worth, I thought we had a great race yesterday at Hangtown, no transports, no massive 150-footer and some really good racing on a rough, challenging racetrack. Congratulations to the Dirt Diggers North M/C on making their 50th Hangtown Classic one of their very best.

We have 44 motos to go in this championship and we want to get everyone to the finish line safely.

Can someone point out all the injuries from big jumps at the nationals? I can’t think of any. I agree they don’t need to be there but they are just a result of the real problem.
The 70hp bikes are the problem. Cut it in half and no one is jumping a fly150. They can build jumps as big as they want, if you don’t have the power, you aren’t jumping it.
Look at the straightaway speeds. Herlings doing about 60 through bumps. That’s the problem

Lol....this has been discussed in about a gazillion threads. I get your point about the power output of modern bikes but suggesting they reduce the hp isn't gonna ever happen. Like asking the military to go back to bow and arrow cause those darn guns are just too deadly. The logical thing is to make the tracks more technical (slower). Hard to use 60+ hp on a snotty, rough, off camber.
