On a 250 or 450? DD had mad skills. He was holding off Barcia until he stalled it

I can understand maybe if they are going to pay him.....but if they are not....why? He has some solid shots at getting on the box in the lites class , why move to the 450?

Surprised geico isn't giving him a shot... they are missing two riders at the moment and he could get them on the box it seems. like JT said on the racerx hangtown podcast, his bike looked out of control but he held off barcia for a while, he should be even better on a geico bike.

IMO he needs to stay in the 250 class until he has the results to move to a 450 team. It's very dangerous for a rider to get to many points and be stuck on a 450 and not be able to move back down.

If his current team cant provide him the way to get to races, then he might not have a choice but to take an offer from Valli.

I am sure they will pay him more than he is making doing it on his own and in the lites which pays crap anyway.

True......BUT , you have to look at this in the big picture. Like what the other guy above said....if he gets to many points , he won't be able to move back down to the Lites. Either way.....I think sponsors like to see a guy battling for a top 5 spot in the lites , then dancing around the top 8th - 15th.

I dunno......I'm just sayin'. I wish him luck whatever he decides to do. Just glad he's out there.

Right now these guys need to go WHERE-EVER a Good-Ride is.

Period.

I hope Chad and the Valli gang have him in the Truck in Texas!

I hope he gets to stay there. Don't get me wrong, Eleven10 makes a hell of motor, but this will give Darryn more pay. He deserves this ride.

I don't think that points in the 450 nationals can make you ineligible for 250 SX if that's what you are referring to. Ryan Sipes was 8th overall in the 2010 450 nationals and still rode 250 SX this year. And Christian Craig is racing 450's this summer, I don't think TLD would have him do that if affected his 250 class eligibility. 450 SX can point you out of 250 SX but I do not think it applies to 450 national points.

ugh, hope he does fall victim to that yz450... I was just starting to become a fan. Great to see him get a break, but not so sure it's a good one.

The bigger story here is how you are able to recognize locations based on their porta potties! Tongue

It's a bummer to see him leave that 11 ten bike, I think he would have done well on that thing. I completely understand where he is coming from though. Good for DD, he deserves it.

Maybe he should hook up with Arma Suzuki City and ride J-Laws bike. Just simply change the numbers, It just sits there anyway!!!

Ha I had a race there last week I recognized the trees & fencing ! I'm a professional pee holder and won't drink all day just so I won't have to use a porta pottie ack those are just not right !!! And that's for any track !!

He should stay where he is look at last weekend, the bike is good and showed podium speed, dietrich doesnt get paid anything special, interesting to see where he ends up. Good luck to DD no matter where he ends up.
