Cole Seely

Great guy, great riding style. Again an impressive week end. 3rd lap times in practice, win his heat against Dungey, Roczen and Canard, who are 1, 2 and 3 in the points. Was 14 in the first lap of the main and passed great guys like Anderson to get 6. We could have 3 hondas in the top 5 at Arlington because he's 3 points down to JA21. Got a bright future in SX.

running the showa package also, no KYB. like Tomac & Canard...
2/10/2015 6:02am
Yeah. He said this is because he's more of a smooth rider. He's the opposite of Eli and Trey is between the two. That's why Eli and Trey have KYB and Cole have Showa.

All of the red crew have things going their way in at least some form or fashion this year. It wouldn't surprise me to see Honda sweep the box at least once this year.

Stayed on a 250 too long in my opinion. Even 3 years ago when he had a go on a 450 on east coast he was putting results in. Been mega impressed with him this season. Really likeable guy too, would love to see him win one this year

cole is doing better than I thought this year...he is no slouch....

I think Seely is the only rookie that can get one this year. I mean Anderson as the same speed as CS21 but he do much more mistakes I think. And yeah, I really wanna see a podium with Canard, Tomac and Seely. It can happen and it'll be awesome. Hopefully, it can happen a week were Gautier Paulin will win a GP.^^

On the first lap Cole framed the last triple in the long rhythm section and it knocked the wind out of him. Took him a few laps to get going, great rides and building momentum! Wish I could attend the East coast rounds to be there when he snags his first win Wink

Seely fan here.
I would put $ on him getting a win before the year is over. Crystal ball says Atlanta 2.

I was a little surprised when Ralph said he was 26 during the San Diego SX. I thought he was 22 or 23 for some reason. Anyway hope he continues to put in solid rides this year.

I have to admit I flinch a little when I see Seely and Baggett on the line with their new numbers.

Always been a fan of Seely. He's so smooth on the bike. I know he started MX later than most riders but was a BMX racer. Which explains the smoothness

Reminds me of O'Mara... The way his arms sort of float in an arc and a really rounded back...

He's having a great season and it's a bit of a surprise to me. I'm beginning to think that his bosses at Honda know more about motocross than I do. Smile

No he did say 26. I had to run it back to see if that's what he said. I didn't think he was that old.

Haha! Yeah, me too. There is a great shot of Baggett getting the holie around that I swear made me blink, since it looked like RC so much.

I'm pumped for Team Honda this year with Canard/Seely/Tomac. It's potentially the best team yet for Honda since the "Dream Team" era of the 80's, IMO.

They both rode a ton of BMX before dirt bikes.

I'm on the bandwagon of thinking he might get a win this year.

Cole is awesome! It's way cool to see Honda invest in and stick with guys like Seely and canard. Not trying to hijack the thread, But RacerX has a good article about Honda finding, grooming, and sticking with canard. Love to see guys like these two do well.
