Because he isn't riding as good. He's trading his average motos with Jetts horrible starts and crashes. They're human, not machines.

JCoop is turning into a bit of an enigma with these totally different performances from one moto to the next. Lucky that RJ, Shimoda etc were buried early because they were reeling him in at the end

This was a difficult track to uncork it but it does seem the one thing missing in his arsenal is the ability to start mediocre and go to the front.
