Broc Hepler Injured
By Billy Ursic

We just received word from Team Yamaha's Broc Hepler that he suffered a broken arm while practicing near Beaumont in California and will miss the start of the 2008 AMA Toyota Motocross Championship. Hepler, who missed a majority of the Western Regional Lites Supercross series with a broken hand, was slated to move up and contest the AMA Motocross class on a 2008 YZ450F, the same bike Grant Langston used to win the 2007 AMA Motocross championship. There's no word yet on when Hepler will be healthy and able to return to racing. Stay tuned to Racer X Online as we hear more on this breaking

What about Langston? He's out too. It's a sport where you can get very hurt, very quick and often. It's not like he broke his arm when he went out and got drunk or anything. Really now, you're blaming the rider for his own injury?

His number is much lower, he should be able to make it further in the sport than the lunch meat man.

Yamaha needs to give YOT a ring and get Tyler Bowers on a 450 with B hep and langston out. At 200 pounds its ridiculous for them not to.

That makes it at least two seasons in a row that are a complete write-off for Broc. Injuries happen, but methinks he really needs to change something in his program. Maybe just riding too much over his head in practice?

Maybe some armor for the arm will be the next product out? The way everyone's getting hurt maybe they will make a freakin full body suit made of titanium or rubber or foam or gel.

AAAAAAH Damn!Sad These fuggers need to start practicing less and worry about racing sundays. I mean they know how to ride already ,why so much practicing during the week. Its BS i tell ya.

Let's see....practicing out near Beaumont. Reading between the lines this leads to 2 possible conclusions.

1. We were blessed with a miracle from the moto gods and De Anza Cycle Park reopened and is holding private outdoor practice sessions for pros.

2. He was out riding the Beaumont hills with some buddies to kill some time before GH hitting some big ass kickers and wadded up.

The dude is coming off injury getting ready to make his outdoor debut in the 450 class and is out riding the hills and takes a dirt nap on to the injured list again. What a clusterfuck for Yamaha.

There are plenty of private areas near Beaumont. There are a few privateers that have property out there with multiple tracks, watering and even lights. Some of the factories rent them out on occasion. Don't jump to conclusions just yet.
