Father/Son Build 2019 KX450

Edited Date/Time 11/3/2018 5:23pm
I want to start this thread saying thank you to my dad for helping me build my dream bike. A ton of time went into sourcing these parts and putting them on the bike. His attention to detail is by far unmatchable. The time I got to spend with him learning how to do alot of this stuff is priceless. I definitely wouldn't have been able to any of this with out him. He is also the one who built the 2006 RM250 that's on this board as well.
Here's a link to his restore:

That rear brake pedal is one of a kind. That's an oversized tip drilled out and retaped to match the spikes on my foot pegs. I have pictures to upload after work.

Over the winter we plan to send suspension into racetech to be overhauled, pick up some Xtrigs, grab a green mud flap, and possibly install green hoses.

I couldn't be happier with the way this machine turned out!

Nice bike! How do you like those ankle saver footpegs?
Thank you! I love them I can't ride without them after breaking my ankle a few seasons back.

Thank you! Yeah I have never felt a more comfortable bike to ride. It's easier to go faster longer compared to the other bikes I've rode.

Where did you get your Dunlop stickers from?
My dad will have to answer that question. He's out riding today but I'm sure he will post back tonight.

Unfortunately you can't get them anymore unless you know people that work there.

Here are a few more pictures of the bikes cleaned up. My dad spent about 46 hours the last few days making these things pristine. Totally eclipses the 10 hours I put in. Lol My brother rides the 18 Honda and my dad rides the 16.5 KTM with cone valves.
