12/24/2024 12:30am I have a 2024 YZ250F. I bought it about a year ago. I have 6 hours on it now (yeah....I know...not many) The seat is hard as a rock. It kills me every time I try to ride. Are the GUTS seats worth it? Which aftermarket seat would you guys go with?

Welcome to the Blu Cru! I can tell your excitement, congrats! For mods, man the bike is insane stock, ride it and break it for a few hours. Exhaust because it was very raspy, maybe some ear plugs. Put gas in it and ride it. It is already 10,000 times better than your last bike. Not sure why you need an aftermarket ECU- just use your phone to tune the stock one.

Dude the bike makes more than enough usable power stock. Just tailor sag/fork height to get the bike handling how you want. Grease everything. Dielectric grease the connections (especially if you pressure wash). If you can, use non ethanol gas. Saves lots of headaches with fuel pump/injector problems.

12/2/2023 11:57pm for sure I'm going to run VP T4 gas in it. That's what I've had a lot of people tell me to run. The highest-octane gas stations sell in my area is 91.

12/1/2023 11:02pm Which grease do you use for your bearings? I'll check the other items. I picked up some oil and a new filter to change once I break it in. A hour after that I'll change the oil/filter again. They are saying the first 3 hours it needs changed every hour.

Use shout stain remover as your bike cleaner. If you haven’t rode in ten years I would ride the bike stock for awhile and determine if you want mods or not. It’s going to be light years better than your old Yamaha.

12/1/2023 10:39pm Thank you for the information! I had another buddy tell me these new 250f's are equivalent to what a stock 450F would have been back when I quit riding in 2012ish. If that's the case, she will definitely be stock for a while. Up until 2012 I had been riding four-wheelers/dirt bikes since I was 10 years old.

They won't be getting anymore until January-February. When he called me telling me I can come get I went straight to the dealership. I was dam near speechless when they rolled it...
