Someone asked earlier and I can confirm that the Works Connection radiator braces and skid plate from the 19 fit on the 24. The skid plate just needs a 3/16 elongation of the two rear bolt holes to slot them toward the rear. Braces are exactly the same except that it requires one less bolt.

Got to break mine in today. Really couldn’t be happier. Bike is very stable, and the cornering is excellent. Did notice a touch of oversteer, which is probably a fork setup thing Chassis rocks. Soaks up tons of chop and has no bad characteristics for me. Very stable in lean angle Motor is very good. I love the character of it -smooth and linear, highly rideable. I find myself wanting more oomph already though. Going to remove the baffle and try the CHA24 or Tickle map. Hoping for more out of low 3rd gear without adding a tooth, but that...

It does suck in - a lot more than you'd imagine . I have created a new airfilter cage if anyone is interested . I also have a video of it without a screen sucking in if you're curious . I should have some with bracing available next week for shipment .

I removed the sreens and flattened out the stamped baffle. It ran great with no issues. Note the end cap is made from steel not aluminum like the rest of the can. Packing was thin and could have used much more to fill the many voids.

Happy New Year Everyone. I’ve been riding this 24’ KX450 A LOT on my holiday and sure the airbox is small/choked up but the sealing has been decent if you oil your filter correctly. The key is to make sure you slide the outer portion of the filter plate into the airbox correctly and get those plastic pins inside the holes, then snap in. I’ve rushed it once and “almost” screwed it up so it can happen. I’ve seen one buyer suck dirt and Kawasaki warranty’d it but it looked like the filter didn’t have much oil on it. As...

I am a washed up 65 year old, 240lb A rider. Put a tad over an hour on the 24 today. Bike isn't a fire breather but it's not slow by any means. Biggest plus for me is the front end feel. Front feels planted, steers good and gives good feel of the front wheel. Steers much better than the previous gen and better than the 23 KTM 450 I had. Stock Air Filter set up is not confidence inspiring to say the least. Have some Twin Airs coming for it and very curious to see what the Power Flow...

Spent the day on the dyno and this bike is actually really strong. Power curve is flat and the torque numbers are really strong. Seeing about 5.5 HP gain with tuned Vortex ECU and Pro Circuit T6 system. She LOVES air. We saw 1.5 HP increase if you pulled the side panel off and removed the filter. Some holes in the side panel with a good aftermarket air filter kit should be a good addition.

Hey, I'm on a 23 YZ450 now, I sold my 350 after Mammoth. 23 350 vs 24 KX, I'd take the KX all day over the 350 because the motor character, suspension and chassis compliance. It was very easy to ride and need less mods to get it competitive against the rest of the bikes. Yes the downside is the weight and heavier feel while riding, but the amount of money and parts I put into my 350 just to get it "OK" isn't worth it to me. On my stock muffler i ripped out the two screens with a long needle nose pliers and then bent the baffles flat. All you have to do is remove the end cap and then its easy, Took about 15 min start to finish. I haven't been able to ride it yet due to living in the frozen tundra, but it has a noticeable sound differance and snappier feel at the throttle.

On reference when we dynoed the air filter cage we made - a rockstar husky 450 was 55hp- the stock 24 kx was 54.

Yes, load cell. I don't like to give actual numbers because every dyno is different......we look for gains. That being said, stock bike was in the 52.5-53.5 range stock. With a mapped Vortex and PC T6 we were getting 57-57.8. Numbers would depend on how heat soaked the bike was. I dont think the air boot is an issue. I think a better air filter cage, better filter, and some venting in the side panel and you are good to go.

For the guys that were hoping to get the same performance with the stock muffler as the Pro circuit system. Here they are side by side. (I took one of the screens out of the stock unit). The Pro Circuit pipe definitely increases power and has a much larger opening.

Here is a Prototype filter installed with a 3D printed power flow filter cage. Twin Air also has a completely new air box replacement housing, wash cover, and cage in testing, it is configured similar to a KTM snap in filter and is vastly superior to the stock airbox.

My oem exhaust had that movement as well -nothing alarming but happy it still has the rubber grommet . Ive now moved onto the HGS- will report how it is in the dyno and track . Silver and black can options- laser engraved logos instead of the sticker that heats up easily .
