2003 Kawasaki KX 125, $9,000 OBO Custom build, Pro Circuit Replica. This bike was purchased to be rebuilt & ridden but throughout the build I have realized that due to my time & money investment I see it more as a collector piece and I cannot bring myself to ride it. This build has taken a lot of time and...

After you read a test of the Suzuki you’d never buy one. They act like its so slow and so rigid and the shock oh the shock. Thats what the OP is trying to say. The dead last bike such a flawed machine according to the tests, has proven to be capable of winning at the HIGHEST level of our sport. So, when are riders gonna stop listening these stupid shootouts? And think for yourself. Theyre just magazine repeaters. Say all these negative things about the RMZ and have never ridden one. Let alone compare the lap times of them...

Even a better argument to get a Zook. Nothing sucks worse than buying a bike new and two years later they change the platform and none of your parts are the same. With longer release cycles you can hold parts longer, buy every 3-4 years and not have to worry about compatibility.

Look at a shootout from 25 - 30 years ago and there would be a bike with crap power, one with brakes that didn't work, one that broke down etc etc. For the last ten years there hasn't really been many "bad" bikes; they just reached a point where there wasn't much more they could do and it's just been small refinements. A bike 5 years old isn't really that far behind. I bet Yamaha have made a fortune out of the initial investment on the '06 YZ tooling + 20 years of sales off the back of it.

2 cents from a guy who rode them the last 2 years. For us mortals, swap the shock from the RMZ 250, have the fork spec'd for you from your favorite suspension shop, new exhaust and away you go. The tuner is a bit clunky compared to the rest but at the end of the day is pretty effective. It's slow revving nature means you can still grab a handful of 450 and it won't jump out from under you. It does feel heavy putting it on the stand, but not while riding. Though I will say that it's a...
