If you take note of the lap analysis in the statistics pulldown section, RV didn't have one single lap faster than the 7 riders in front of him during the entire race except lap 10 when when he threw down a 1:52.902. That is a very good reason to finish 8th, But tomorrow is a new day and let's hope...

The GP riders dislike the track mainly because it's a AMA SX type setup which RV should have totally shredded, if this is the quality of riding he's taking to the real GP tracks in Europe it's going to be a like watching Covington struggling in the Big Boy's class...

I'm confused, first off before a actual race with the GP fellas RV was touted as" Intensity from the beginning and lasting all race, something the Euros aren't use to". RV's top 10 in timed qualifying shows he can be competition in the GP's, not a bad showing considering the GP riders have more experience on that difficult AMA style SX track. I think 2003 was the last year the #1 plate was used in MXGP, they are not so pretentious about the small things. Everyone knows who the World Champions are.
