Yammi used boost bottles for many yrs on many bikes this setup was a little more complicated i wanna say it drew air from before the reed block and went by hoses after the reed block ?

4/28/2020 10:18pm ok old timers....I remember a mod that could be done to the reed and intake mouth involving hoses ( from the carb or? ) like a reed spacer or something....and I remember a guy sold a kit for it on ebay and I remember it worked so well that people said the power increase was wild and unmanageable ....words from...

4/3/2016 2:16pm the old mx175....based on the 78 DT 175.....great little motors ......not much on suspension....plenty of parts since yammi kept this engine going on world wide models for many yrs a mod i did on mine was to free flow the air box and enlarge the ports on the piston to match the cylinder .....and just about double the size on...

4/3/2016 2:06pm there 2 ways to get past the double clipped seal heads.....press to expose the first clip.....or grinding with a tool on the seal head ( read dremel ) to expose the clip enough to get to it and pull it out with a pair of pliers.......if you ask race tech they will send you the instructions I myself would not...

3/29/2016 11:32pm the shock on that yr has the dreaded double clipped seal head....you can get it out with enough perseverance and the right technique.......the alls balls seal head has a built in bumper which is all wrong for the shock.......race tech sells the better seal head with no built in bumper

2/7/2015 8:29pm VMX has digital copys you can buy online as opposed to buying back issues and paying an arm and a leg for shipping from OZ.......so i bought a digital copy that has the article about that 83 yz490 ....they raved about the Pro-form pipe that was custom made for that bike........how it almost cured all the motor ills that 490s...

11/21/2014 11:34am LOL.......a shifter that created more problems than it solved?? guess its a yz 250 shift lever for me ! will that devol linkage fit a wr500? is it still availible?
