Thanks for the reply Durotools, I'll try adjusting the airscrew. My bike had the powevalve screwed in a couple turns and it was either all on or all off. I turned the powevalve all the way out and it helped a lot. I have the sputter around 1/8th throttle, always have, and I am trying to eliminate it.

Hi Project Racer, Thank you for the insight. Of the two PWs I am working on, the 2009 still has the stock barrel and piston. I did not see any signs of leaking around the head or base gasket. I recently bought a 2002 RM125 with frozen bottom end for $600. Bike still had stock tires and chain/sprocket. PO ran it with little to no oil in the gas, toasted the motor, then let it sit for years. I put $1,000 into it for new bottom and top end, suspension rebuild, new tires and some minor stuff. The bike runs great and works perfect for my 2 track days a month. I love having a super clean bike that runs great that cost me about the same as a new 4 stroke exhaust. I am not super fast, but...
