I would disagree. Both are powersports manufacturers. KTM had the chance to branch out when they acquired Gas Gas and Husky and make three distinct brands. Husqvarna could’ve been used for the ATV/SXS and power equipment side as they already have some name recognition outside of moto. KTM makes race bikes. Gas Gas trail bikes/play bikes. This would’ve allowed them to expand into other markets the way the Japanese have done. The Japanese have historically been conservative when it comes to going into an unknown or unproven segment. If Honda for example makes a CRF350R it takes sales away from...

While your point is absolutely valid, the other question is “how many Honda/kawasaki/suzuki 450 riders will go blue because we offer a 350, they don’t, and those riders don’t want to go KTM because of the current drama?”

My fav part was when Weege said this is the battle the fans have been waiting for and James said “this is the battle I’VE been waiting for” that was great, shows he is at peace with his racing being over and is just a true moto fan now

James is the best we have ever had in the booth as far. In my opinion better than Emig, GL, DB, RC and the rest. His analysis is really good. He continues to improve and the more he does it the better he is. You can actually learn race craft from him. To top it off, he's humble. Stark contrast from the redhead. Where do we sign the petition for full time JS7?

In his 30’s when Yamaha put him in the 125 class, SX & MX! Of course the guy didn’t race his first race until he was 21 years old...
