rightseat Started a new thread AA blasted for five pax transatlantic flight
1/27/2012 12:38pm An American Airlines 777 flew 5 passengers from Chicago to London, and they didn't even get first class. FYI- 4400 gallons is enough to fly a fully loaded A320 from Boston to LA. [quote:3mdcntj2]Furious environmental campaigners have hit out at an airline that sent a plane on a 4,000-mile journey with just five passengers on board. With enough room to...

1/24/2012 11:06pm [quote:2aduun22] Harris County, Texas, native Centava Dozier, 21, filed a $200,000 lawsuit Monday against American Airlines, alleging that a passenger masturbated in the seat next to her and then ejaculated on her hair. Dozier was on her way to visit family and friends in L.A., MyFOXHouston reports. The suit claims Dozier was sitting in an empty row when the plane...

3/31/2008 12:44pm Hawaii is tremendously expensive, the only time I zap up my per diem is on a Hawaii layover. my favorite trip to Hawaii- A few weeks ago there was an error in scheduling, they wanted me to deadhead back to Memphis. Since the trip was over 8 hours it was first class all the way, full fare on the company...

3/31/2008 8:56am As long as you stay in the tourist areas it's fine. A vast majority of neighborhoods look like TJ. I'm sure all the resorts are nice, it's just the normal day-to-day areas that look like a warzone! It's like Haiti, cruise lines lease peninsulas and call it their 'private island'.. That place is a war zone, but it's still beautiful...

3/31/2008 8:43am St. Thomas is the nicest island in the Caribbean. Ochos Rios, Puerto Rico, Cozumel, the DR, Antigua, and St. Lucia are absolute dumps. Barbados is nice, St. Maarten is alright, Nassau is somewhat clean, Bermuda is decent.

3/30/2008 5:36pm Exactly, the health of the airline industry is dependent on oil. I don't see oil becoming regulated any time soon, so why not assist the airlines? I don't work for a passenger carrier anymore, it doesn't affect me personally. I work for a company who can charge more when costs rise without fear of having it's neck slashed. You live...

3/30/2008 5:19pm Airlines can afford to pay it's employees standard wages, you'd just have to pay (gassssssp) what it cost them to move that seat! No more $99 transcons.... Could you imagine the US economy if all airlines operating in the red ceased operations? Something this important needs government stability.

4/16/2016 6:29pm [quote="oldfart":r5i7ol5i]It's a business, like any other, and the goal is to make money for the shareholders. I doubt any of the airlines holds a gun to anyone's head and forces them to work there.[/quote:r5i7ol5i] Yep, all the airlines should close up shop. This would make the US a better place.

4/16/2016 6:29pm Airlines could make a killing if they charged what it REALLY cost to move your seat from A to B. Cheating pilots, mechanics, and gate agents out of industry standard wages is no way to run an airline. The problem is airlines like SWA, JB, SkyBus and other LCC's are always willing to charge less. In the case of SWA...

3/30/2008 4:13pm Someone is always willing to operate in the red. until this ends ticket prices will stay low and costs will remain high. I was reading an email from my company, for every .01 increase in fuel is nearly 20 million extra dollars spent annually. And this only includes airplanes, not trucks, and GSE..
