Firefox problem?

I let a buddy of mine use my laptop for about an hour last night, and now I fired it up this morning to find all of my bookmarks and tab-bookmarks at the top are completely gone? I had a few somewhat important bookmarks in there that I'll probably never find again.

Any idea what happened? Any idea how to get them back?

I'm really starting to dislike Firefox. Their stupid automatic updates fucked up one of my other computers TWICE, resulting in not being able to shut down the computer. It took me a week to get it sorted out the first time, about two weeks the second time.

And now all of my bookmarks just vanish for no reason? Internet Explorer, here I come....

I'm with ya, been using FF for a few years. A few weeks back firefox was unable to load. I found IE, and was amazed at how much quicker it seemed to operate on my machine

Joe, there is a backup file of your bookmarks..if only i could remember where it is......
