About as effective as misinformation and small sample size anecdotal evidence.

I would venture to say way more people than you think use marijuana in some form, and then a proportionate amount live normal lives and a certain amount struggle with addiction in any form. I believe theres a stat somewhere that the majority of people who have smoked weed don't even try weed again, let alone spiral from there into meth.

Pot can help with that.
