Good post. We need to stop thinking in absolute terms (i.e. conventional warfare will lead to victory) and understand a nation’s ability to respond via “soft” technologies (AI, malware, chemical). These weapons should be much more concerning than nuclear as they are utilized daily while an atomic weapon has not been deployed in battle since 1945. Iran undoubtedly has soft weapons at their disposal. A synchronized attack could potentially bring Wall Street to its knees. And if these are the irrational zealots as labeled above, what prevents them from using such tactics, if their own survival is deemed meaningless?
